The reason I don't think that's what happened is that as of the July CHIPS hearing he hadn't completed a substance use assessment. If he wasn't willing to do that, he almost certainly wasn't doing any other treatment activities.

I can totally see him thinking he's owning everyone by secretly drinking alcohol, he loves hiding deniable facts in plain sight, it's practically his MO.
