Much like /pol/ though less retarded, there's more than a few people here who seem to really dislike the people of bagels.

I'm a bit sheltered. My home country doesn't have Jews, and the few I have met since I started working in the west are indistinguishable from the rest of the population.

Can anyone recommend me some good reading material on this topic? Either about who they are, or why people are so mad about them.

I'm not trolling. I genuinely want to know because I've tried picking up a few books on them, I'm no closer and we don't have them back home.

Is it white guilt? Is it paternalism for the melinated? Is it true that they're actually lizard people from sector x of the galaxy? I know I have come from a sheltered bubble where everything since coming to the west is brave and empowering and want to know.

A People That Shall Dwell Alone is the first book in a series by Kevin MacDonald about Jewish history, Jewish culture, and Jewish political and economic power in the light of Judaism being an adaptive strategy and an aid in the survival of the Jewish people.

The subsequent two books — Separation And Its Discontents and Culture Of Critique — were removed from Amazon's offerings in March 2019 for violating Amazon's terms of service in regard to expressions of antisemitism. Which is odd, since the book is partly a scholarly treatment of antisemitism. And which means, of course, that they were really removed for telling too much of the truth about Jewish history and Jewish power.

On the other hand, nobody has ever succeeded in showing why antisemitism necessarily means "false." So far as anyone knows, some of the world's most important truths might be antisemitic statements.

A People That Shall Dwell Alone (subtitle: Judaism as a Group Evolutionary Strategy) was originally published in 1994 by Praeger Publishers, a respected academic publishing company that is part of the Greenwood Publishing Group.

Separation And Its Discontents (subtitle: Toward an Evolutionary Theory of Anti-Semitism) followed in 1998.

The Culture of Critique (subtitle: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Intellectual and Political Movements) completed the trilogy, later in 1998.

I have copies of all three books, having bought them in 2007. These books have been around for 20 years, regarded as worthy academic contributions for most of that time, and, only now, comes a push for their censorship. I suspect that it is part of the more general censorship of the world wide web by the mainstream media and the tech companies of silicon valley.

For early Jewish history, I recommend The Chosen Few: How Education Shaped Jewish History, 70-1492 by Botticini and Eckstein. It offers interesting insight into how the societal role of Jews was influenced by the fall of the Second Temple and the societies which hosted them. It can also make you think about how important educational attainment is even now.

Edit:
For specifically Israeli history, I recommend to start with Herzl's Old New Land if you have the time or Judenstaat if you don't, and use Israel: A History as an overview of important events. Choose next books based on your personal preference as you will never find an unbiased analysis of Israeli history.

The question if catholicism and it's modern strains became a jewish psyop at some point, is very unclear to me. It seems plausbile to some extend but if anything, the romans turned into it into their state run psy op before that.
