I think she needs the company to maintain any relevance to be honest. Like, maybe I'm wrong but of that original crop that created Vshojo she was the least popular amongst them (I'd heard of the rest at least) and it gave her a very noteworthy boost in popularity. A boost she prolly can't afford to live without anymore. Look at how much nyanners plunged in relevance once she left Vshojo. It'd be much worse for Froot, especially since shes stupid enough to bring up old drama like this.

Swear to god Vsho needs to cut her loose though. Every time some major drama happens it's always her fault (Outside the cronyism stuff but that's forgiveable)

Vshojo reminds me of Vinesauce (the brand) in it's later years. You had a variety of streamers connected to it, but most people could at best name two or three of the actual reps. Like Kuro was a pointless hire for Vshojo and actively does IRL content now, whereas that green moose girl was the most redundant nepohire possible that goes live one a fortnight. Meanwhile Froot continue to only draw negative brand exposure. These "auditions" better bring in something fresh before the actual draws wise the fuck up and go solo.

To be fair: I think she declined especially hard because of her boyfriend arc (early 2022). But yeah, the trend didn't stop when leaving VShojo in early 2023.

I think we all know the only people coming to Vhshojo next round are prolly gonna be Mint (Another Niji refugee) and Mel (Hololive refugee) Maybe they pull out 1 more minor person because everyone rolls their fucking eyes at Vsho when they announce auditions but regardless.

You are totally right though in that they need fresh blood. I think Vhsojos biggest weakness (Outside Froot) is a total inability to cultivate new talent. At the start, I think its ok that they relied on pre-established talents to form the base of their company but now that they've grown so much and absorbed so many refugee talents, it's time to start grabbing some obscure people, giving them a new identity and creating some brand loyalty with them. Because at this rate, if any of these talents leave, they're gonna take their fans with them in the process.

But compare that to Phase where all of their people were unknowns (At least I don't know their previous lives) and how well they're doing and well, you know which company is gonna end up better in the long run.

I really doubt Mint would go to Vshojo, Doki has showed that a Vtuber can stand alone without needing any backing, and frankly Vshojo provides nothing to Mint that she couldn't do herself. Hell, her joining Phase is more likely than her joining Vshojo.

Phase being willing to work with indies is interesting. Obviously you have to be a fairly popular / big indie. But still its interesting. Because like you said now you don't NEED to be in that company you can get stuff alongside them.
