I’m late and catching up on several pages here.
BPD doesn’t just stand for bipolar disorder. It also stands for borderline personality disorder. Every time I’ve seen somebody refer to BPD in this thread, I’ve automatically assumed it was borderline personality disorder they were referring to. Yes, pretty dumb on my part.
From the Mayo Clinic website
“Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
People may experience
Behavioral: antisocial behavior, compulsive behavior, hostility, impulsivity, irritability, risk taking behaviors, self-destructive behavior, self-harm, social isolation, or lack of restraint
Mood: anger, anxiety, general discontent, guilt, loneliness, mood swings, or sadness
Psychological: depression, distorted self-image, grandiosity, or narcissism”
I know this topic has probably been talked to death in the past and I’m certainly no psychiatrist, but I think Chantal’s behavior tends more towards borderline personality disorder than bipolar.
Go ahead and trashcan me as I probably deserve it for even bringing this up.
