While AMDs offerings do suck compared to Nvidia, UserBenchmark is biased towards Intel and puts down AMD no matter what, and has done so for years.

I find it funny how in the PS3 era, Sony hyped up the CELL like it was the second coming of Christ. Next generation, Sony ditches it all in favor of AMD APUs and doesn't upgrade it for the entire generation, until they do it again next gen.

All they'd have to do is not fuck themselves over. Sony is treading a similar path Sega did, Apple or whoever would just have to not do that. Just look at this thread, what everyone is complaining about with Sony, and don't do those things.

Companies act like it's rocket science to not charge $830 for a PS5 Pro, to not have zero exclusives, and to not focus on chasing gaming trends & ESG bucks to the detriment of everything else. Just...don't do those things. But big companies are retarded, so it's asking too much.

Don't give that kike any more credit than he earned. Druckmann was only a second tier writer and programmer, not even a team lead, until Last of Us. And even then, it was heavily edited by Hennig and Staley. Last of Us 2 is the first game that is on his shoulders, and it shows.

The amount of money on the table from platform cuts for normiecore is too massive to leave to Nintendo. Sony's $1.5 billion platform cut from CoD in 2021 may seem like an anomaly because it was COVID lockdown era but there's also Valorant, Apex, FIFA, 2K, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, GTA, and more. I doubt Sony will ever truly bow out of the console industry unless the Switch starts stealing all these moneyprinter games and their associated paypigs with the Switch 2.

At the risk of powerleveling, people very much underestimate how incredibly difficult it is for big companies to not be retarded. People make this erroneous assumption that because a company is massive, clearly they must be filled with competent people. The truth of the matter is that every company has retards and as you grow, you naturally pick even more retards. Worst of all, the bigger companies attract the worst kind of retards, the overly ambitious retards out to distinguish themselves. Its really fucking frustrating to deal with these retards that keep trying to force risky or clueless ideas to make a name for themselves despite the long-term plan put into place years ago is working phenomenally and these retards want to throw it all away on a whim.

in theory you could use your fucking phone, but a laptop is probably easier all things considered.

however there are still issues with proprietary apps (like netflix and shit, lot of people use their console like a streaming box really), but since almost all TVs are come with smart shit these days you can just offload it there.

No idea what to expect from the State of Play. If anything, I'm more interested to see if Nintendo do their usual September direct or not this week.
