That's actually pop history and Muzzie cope. Muslims fucked over their own civilization themselves and didn't need outsiders to do it. Foreign invaders like the Seljuks, Mongols, and Ottomans brought peaceful times and prosperity in the Middle East. They weep and gnash their teeth over Baghdad being burnt by the Mongols and irrigation networks being smashed up, but 30 years later...Baghdad was rebuilt, Iraq and Iran were thriving under the Mongols with great literary and scientific culture, the economy was booming, and yes, irrigation mostly got fixed.
Where Islam went wrong was they started banning studying all this philosophy and doing all this science as heretical to Islam (which it was, because some Muslim scholars were literally preaching gnosticism) and then Europe caught up and the only Muzzie powers of note were the Ottomans, Persians, and Mughals who spent all their time fighting endless wars against non-Muslims and let their institutions decay from within. Oops!

You aren't wrong, but the fun stops when the public finds out. The US government knows that its citizens are willing to stand up to them with force (Bundy incident). First the most important points: ginger beer rules (it's sharp but once you get used to it regular ginger ale pales in comparison), root beer is barfy, the messiest chips/crisps are the best, and I wouldn't complain if Kamala paid my grocery bill. Wouldn't change my vote, but money is money.

I agree that he government exists to maintain law and order for the citizenry, and that order includes the citizenry not being taken advantage of. So while orgs like unions, OSHA, USDA etc. are all good in theory and were helpful back when they were instituted, public service is no longer altruistic. Wanna get rich? Be in higher level government/politics and keep dangling the "I'm here for you" carrots only to pull them away as soon as power is reached. The Repubs do this too but the Dems have run on being the party for the people for decades, only to do the exact opposite to the point where now they're becoming authoritarian to stay in power.
Voter ID: If voter laws are to be distrusted due to past disenfranchisement, then why are there so many blacks in politics now? I guarantee that they all have IDs. Those same blacks are joining in with liberal whites to tell the black community that they don't have access to getting an ID, which is false and absurd. You needed one to get into DNC, and there were plenty of blacks there. And if it's that hard for blacks to get IDs, then why aren't black colleges (oh, you need an ID there too), black churches, and black businesses as a whole helping the black community to get ID's? If you propagandize that one section of society can't get an ID, then you can easily say that about hispanics, immigrants, etc., and therefore anyone can register to vote and voter rolls can be padded in favor of one party.
This is getting long but while it's important to know history and see it's influence on current day, it's also easy to get caught up in the past and focusing on how things should be, as opposed to how they really are. If you haven't already I encourage you to watch the Kamala interview with the black journalist group. She has no intention of helping out anyone who's marginalized, only using them to get her into office.

I nuked my old one when I took a break from the Farms, and then politics + absolutely zero decent comment sections pulled me back here. I've been around since before Armpit Cream got banned and Bernie Bro Ashy Angel was doing a good job explaining liberal points only to disappear when Bernie lost the primary to Biden, Joseph Stalin started a thread 2019 about "something to keep an eye on in China" etc. I'm surprised Chantal is still with us. Oh and @CharlesBarkley, I read your posts in The Round Mound of Rebound's voice and they're 100x better.

The problem with being a Republic is that you NEED to put your hope into figureheads, as they are the ones we elect into seats of powers. Without someone like Trump to unify around and put our support behind, MAGA will be dead in the water. If he dies now, the GOP will become a free for all and ultimately sabotage its self dividing its own base while the Dems refortify and further solidity as the dominate force in America.

It's also good optics for him to do things like this because of his personable demeanor to the "regular folks." Like I said in another post, compare these clips of Trump from yesterday to Kamala going into a Sheetz to buy a bag of Doritos a month ago. The place practically had to be cleared for her first, she needed someone to find the bag FOR her, and she didn't really interact with anyone. It was awkward as hell.
Trump didn't just give that mother $100 to help pay for her groceries, either ... He actually asked her questions about her family and complimented her children. He was friendly.
You see clips like the ones from yesterday, and the first thing that comes to mind is this: "This is the guy that the media tells me is Hitler incarnate? Really?"
