E6 is already blocked in some countries, and the reason could have been something as obtuse as Bad Dragon or some other entity being able to export or the legality of an international "business partner" working with varka's gaping asshole. As I said, this is all speculation but international pressure is a very real concern for a website with an international userbase.

It's obviously the PCI, but discounting that it's international is dangerous.

The fine nuances in pedophilia artwork on a dog porn website. Babyfurs can't upload any "dirty diaper" porn or anything that "puts emphasis on or draws the viewer to look at a character's genitals" when they have "child anatomy." The babyfurs are upset because this isn't explained on the website and according to new admins are only being moderated en masse because there's a massive backlog in general of report tickets which weren't being answered at all.

So either these babyfurs are lying or they're admitting that they cannot exist on FA unless they're depicting childlike characters involved in sexual or fetish activity.

Late reply but they did this on Furry Network, but it went a bit deeper as i recall. So a lot of the diaper furs left that site for FA.

I wish they'd just ban the lot of them.

Haven't associated with or looked into furry stuff in ages at this point, but every now and again it'll pop up adjacent to something a friend linked. Just spent 5 mins scrolling furry twitter and it's nuts. Complete upside down from what the fandom was like 7-8 years ago. Having more than one OC was frowned upon cause an OC was "literally you". 3D chats with furry avatars in other games or even second life was also frowned upon cause "uhh it's not all sex" despite being all about sex. Lots of discourse about not being a 'real furry' if you didn't buy art for a character. Having a twitter itself was a tryhard move for people who wanted to run their personalities like brands rather than having peer2peer relationships.

Now, everyone is on twitter. Everyone is on vrchat, often more-so than any other 'game', and they have a whole array of digital uniforms to don when they thrust their hips wearing a VR headset to hang out with "+18 furries but totally not for sex". I met most of my better long-term friends through TF2 which sometimes happened to be in furry circles. Compare that today and this VRchat craze, which in itself is.. nothing. There is no center to vrchat. You stand around and talk. It's as exciting as "we invite people and offer booze and shit'll totally go down, right?". I always accepted furries cause like myself in my younger days, it was a giveaway of a certain kind of personality: Nerdy shut-in who played games and used 'UwU'. Now, you see socially active people; good looking chicks with an actual life on the sideline etc. No longer just fat losers who resorted to being gay.

Really just makes me wonder: What is the appeal of furries anymore, if not a trademark for a certain kind of personality? Vrchat and modern furry hangouts seemingly removed the art-based angle and now it's just another hue to 'youth who parties and weeds' or 'youth who games and codes'. Youth who hang out 24/7 with a vrheadset on and pumps dick with other people of the animal variety.

It's an excellent question. Your description is spot on from what I've observed. It's more and more a youth thing - not that it ever didn't have some element of that, and where it goes from here is hard to tell.

People have been calling out the 'party and weed' element for more than a decade but there seems to still be enough fabric to the whole thing - or perhaps 'party and weed' is enough innate draw - that it hasn't shattered yet.

It became insanely lucrative considering what it is, that drove the quality up. Maybe jap kemono culture will inject the concept of it being a hobby instead of a lifestyle and make it a little less insane. I doubt it but they do have a healthy amount of media outside of porn that might bring things back to 90s culture.
