However, the court seems to have slammed the door in his face on that one by ruling everything he didn't raise in the omnibus is waived. That may be the most brutal part of this ruling.

I believe they did raise one evidentiary issue, April's bodycam footage, and the judge said that "this would be for motions in limine".
So I think this "slamming of the door" only covers issues that should have been raised in the Omnibus and are not typically argued in motion in limine, which those mostly are as I understand it.

So while you might be right and this shuts the door, the bodycam footage might still be on the table, but only in the case of April not testifying.
