The line that Jim just monetized content from the farms is something that I've never understood beyond Jersh's understandable frustration at the way he and his website have been treated by the broader Internet, and the irrational ownership some farmers have over the content of what is supposed to be a publicly accessible archive/forum.

Jim didn't need or use the farms for his Spax 3 series, which was the first dedicated lolcow content he made; it was just him going over Spax's website, deviantart and commenting over videos Spax uploaded to YT. Same with Deviants and Tumblrisms; Jim and his not-friends had been trolling both groups for years. 2018-2019 followed a similar format; he found Danny the Panda because someone in his chat sent him a youtube video and he just clicked on links live until he got to Danny's tapatalk. Ross was an accidental discovery because Metokur liked listening to random livestreams as he hunted for new content. A lot of the streams/videos he did on the skeptics and bloodsports were covering incidents he was either tangentially related to or outright present for.

There might be more of a case for him using content from the farms for TGWTG and Internet Insanity, but the farms did not have the near monopoly on lolcow gossip in 2017 it does now either; ED and Facepunch were still around, 4chan wasn't just feds and bots, Reddit and Twitter weren't nearly as censorious, and it was easier to find dedicated forums/blogs on exceptional individuals - even Know Your Meme would archive a copy of a shooter manifesto, and Metokur was fairly candid about using all of him. I found out about the farms because he credited it in his King of Catfish video.

I dont claim it was warranted, it was just a widespread notion that Jersh didn´t like him. I guess both of them addressed it in different occasions. Again, I refer to the way Jersh talks about Turkey Tom; it was the same. I dont even know if he conciously disliked Metokur but there was obviously something there.

Jersh would occasionally expression frustration over the fact that Metokur was able to have a patreon/subscribestar while he was struggling to keep the farms afloat and losing access to his payment processers and getting debanked in the early MATI days. I can't remember if he ever outright said Metokur was able to monetize content from the farms or just said that Metokur's content covered stuff that was also in the farm's wheelhouse and could get monetized while the farms couldn't, but it's led to years of skub and needless anger. I personally really like both; early MATI was a great counterpart to Jim content since it was mostly covering older lolcows while Jim covered contemporary happenings, and now Jersh is the true and honest king of the sektur.

If I remember correctly, part of the reason he stopped doing edited videos was because they kept getting flagged and demonetized and such due to reports from the people they were about, and it just became too much of a hassle to keep up with. Same reason he doesn’t keep his own streams archived on his channel.

He was gone for a long time after the dox. He made that facetious Kick Fund Me video after the dox but it really fucked him to the point they changed their names, that´s why he disappeared. One of the last thing before his hiatus was that embarrassing temper tantrum saying he was going after all the skeptics when someone passed around that Sargon hired Tinklepants to dox him - which was false, if I´m not mistaken.

Spontaneous fractures aren't uncommon following cancer treatment but the extent of Jim's is exceptional. The weeping oedema in his legs is likely also a long side effect of treatment. I've seen that get so bad that people have to pick up their legs to move them at all, which would be difficult for Jim.

The extent to which they can control his pain will eventually get down to how lucid he wants to remain. Terminal sedation is always an option but it might not be the path he wants to take. In his shoes, I would probably have chosen assisted dying before now.
