This is what upsets me about this. All these people will argue with Jennifer endlessly but not a single person asks him what his win condition looks like or even his belief of how it's going to happen. Rick literally seems to think if he makes fun of Elon in a tweet that goes viral enough Elon will sell Twitter to... I don't know exactly, he has no details about any of this other than #DLTIW just like everything he does. That 1.4 GPA brain is pulling some (a lot of) weight today. The more advanced guns get the less collateral. Wars right after machine guns became widely available started to be fought more conservatively, with trench warfare becoming the norm. Trenches sucked, and still do. But there's a decently high chance of your commander taking a look at what the enemy's got, and deciding that the position is untenable and therefore the best idea is to piss off from that specific battlefield rather than sending meat waves to be gunned down and cover your advance, precisely to conserve men.

This didn't apply to authoritarian regimes that may or may not be fighting an existential war, such as the Soviet Union trying their best to fight off Nazis that were hell-bent on their extermination. But elsewhere? Yeah, it was, and increasingly is, the norm.

I would've liked to see Rick learning what warfare in the Middle Ages was like, where the idiom "poisoning the well" comes from, and why there was such a thing as a "Misericorde knife." As a side note this is all conjecture because in true obese brain fashion I still don't know what he was even trying to say there, I'm just guessing at it .

I agree that accelerationism is fucking stupid (wow, hot take I know!). But this argument by Piggy is somehow dumber. I'm in awe at how a 1.4 GPA brain enables one to sound offputtingly stupid AND arrogant within the Twitter character limit. Honestly libs and leftists (and fat pig men who pretend to be either) and hell the whole political spectrum as a whole are shockingly ignorant over just how much more fucking horrifying warfare gets when you go further back in history, stripping ever more trappings of civilisation and advances in technology away until you reach literal caveman ooga booga era in which perennial tribal warfare resulted in an average death toll between 10% and 40% of the entire population in the countless individual wars over tens/hundreds of thousands of years, and *thats* before you factor in how based on evidence these wars near ubiquitously involved the clinically termed "capture of women" or to put it more accurately mass rape and sexual slavery as well as just how utterly screwed over the wounded who didn't die would be for the rest of their miserable lives. Ideologues of all stripes who glorify and idealise "unspoiled" humanity before it was poisoned by civilisation/capitalism always neglect to explain exactly why humanity as a whole decided that living under the despotism of self declared God Kings and being entirely subject to his authority to the point of literal slavery in building his palaces or fighting his wars or being rawdogged in his harem was better than the alternative of "living free" in the wild. Turns out the answer is that courtesy of the dozens of surrounding tribes and their own tribal leaders they were getting all that forced labour and violence and rape and misery out in the wild far worse and far more regular than one God King could ever inflict upon them even if he tried, and at least living under Mr God King gave some protection and reliable sources of food and creature comforts for even less labour than would be invested outside civilisation.

All of this is why I think we should invent a time machine and forcibly send fatrick back to 10000 BC so we can watch him get gang raped by cavemen
