One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

It doesn't need to get through his head.

He knows it instinctively, He just doesn't have time for the "Explain my viewpoint" bullshit, he just wants to punch the people who get in his way until they fall over...most of whom make him very angry almost incidentally.
Just like Goku. Don’t ever change, Oda.

Arlong Park and Enie’s Lobby have the same emotional beats with both Nami and Robin moving forward as characters. It’s an emotional peak even if Luffy doesn’t get his shit kicked in.

Alabastia and Wano are effectively the same. A side character (Momonosuke and the blue haired one who isn’t Franky or Nojiko) rescues their country and Luffy faces a foe who curb stomps him more than once. (Lucci honestly never really beats Luffy down, it’s more a stalemate before smacking down most of CP9).
I cannot wait for Marineford 2.0.

Pretty much. Luffy knew from the drop of a hat Teach was bad news even when a reader would initislly think "what a nice bloke that gets it!". He's a retard, but an amazing judge of character.

As for Luffy's concept of freedom. Seems simple enough to me. He wants the meat? He reaches for it, you stop him? You get hit. Then, of he likes you, he'll share some with you (eventually) and if he doesn't he will wreck you. Luffy hates people with weak conviction. People that aren't willing to fight for their freedom don't deserve it.

I think this is incredibly unfair to Luffy.

Unless it is about fighting (or Farming) Goku is a legitimate hick retard, despite Roshi drilling it into his head that he needs to train his mind and body.

Luffy doesn't waste time thinking about things he thinks are unimportant, but he has a really good grasp on the world he lives in. Even without having met Crocodile he knows that Crocodile would have a plan for if someone tried to get the Rebels to back down. He knew that if Lucci was allowed to run free that Strawhats will die. He Knew that the person who needed to be leading the Samurai was Momo..not Kinemon.

Hell even the moment of "I wanna fight someone strong" he had made sense...if He didn't fight and win against Katakuri then what the fuck would he do against Kaido or Big Mom (this is also aided by the fact that Rayleigh told him he needed to face strong people to improve his own Haki).

Many people get caught up in him being a goofy clown who eats everything in sight 90% of the time. But he has shown many times that the 10% of the time he is serious he is actually incredibly smart, but simply doesn't see any point in caring about politics, schemes, power, etc.

Obviously he knows he does have to engage in those things from time to time out of necessity for his and his comrades own safety, but he is never very happy about it and seems to wonder why the hell everyone is even doing all this fucked up shit if it makes them (and others) unhappy. He wants to live freely and be happy, and politics, schemes, power, etc. don't really lead to either of those outcomes from what he has seen, experienced and simply knew instinctively from being born/raised as a good person.

If I am right about the Admirals eventually abandoning the WG post Laughtale, I’m putting my chips in that Kizaru joins Buggy.

Why? What are you retarded? Buggy is flashy, Kizaru is flashy.

Everything else is mixed, but my general theory.

Fujitora will probably join Dragon.

Akainu will probably attempt to overthrow the Elders, almost win before Imu slaps him around the room and tells him that it’s Imu’s world, and then he’ll be a puppet.

Greenbull will probably be killed by a puppet Akainu under orders and join SWORD before he immediately gets killed.

Kuzan will defect from Black Beard to the Straw Hats.

I think Akainu will try a coup against Imu after finding out how bad Imu and the Elders actually are but get killed, based on what Greenbull said in Wano I think he might actually side with Imu.

It does make sense..the one thing the Red Line is missing is the ability to grow things, if Akainu manages to kill an Elder Star offering Greenbull a spot as an Immortal Plant growing man would solve the food issue.

Akainu seems like the type would briefly win, but ultimately get crushed. He doesn’t die, but it just mentally broken and ultimately is just another slave to the Dragons, lower than Kuma when he was brain wiped.

Given he is made of Lava i am not sure how they would make him into a cyborg.

If I remember correctly, cybernetics are affected by DFs (Queen 's cybernetics were as far as I could see). Maybe the cybernetics in logias are the same.

Also, if Urouge comes back this arc then Enel is showing up.
Enel is endgame material. Or maybe “and the adventure continues…” bullshit so Luffy has something to do after the series ends (probably depends on what his actual dream is).

Urouge is basically also endgame material. I think it’s been made clear that the setup Luffy has at each place once the arc’s villain is defeated is to have it be where he leaves Laugh Tale on the warpath first made by Joy Boy to take on Imu and the World Government. And we get a whole bunch of panels that amount to a cross between the walk to Arlong Parkand the heroes coming together to face Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. All under the banner of Luffy as Joy Boy reincarnated in absolute earnest.

My guess is that Enel’s ship is gonna be used with Noah and the Thousand Sunny to make Pluton operational again. The Opening of Wano will be Marineford 2.

The Moon is connected to Zoa. Minks use electricity and Moon technology from the Enel on the Moon stuff is all electrical.

You are forgetting Water 7.

Iceberg directly stated he was gonna make that place Mobile, Him skipping the "Floats on the water" part and going to "I HAVE A FUCKING FLYING CITY FRANKY, WHO IS THE BETTER SHIPWRIGHT NOW!" might happen.

So I am still on, but nearing the end of, Dressrosa. I gotta say, even using Pace its still getting realllly long in the tooth. Not even Doflamingo can remain interesting in a six hour fight. This is reaching anime Namek levels of "please, move on."

edit: Gotta say, I really liked the first half of the arc, when things were actually moving pretty quickly.

I mean, clothes are affected by Devil Fruits. And if they weren’t, to quote Oda, it’d be a very different series, wouldn’t it?

You will be happy to know that everyone had this complaint and therefore later arcs are a lot quicker in execution. Some I think to their detriment like Vegapunk's arc, but it was a breath of fresh air to finally be moving through islands at a reasonable pace for a while.
