In other news the PC port of God of War Ragnarok had a mod in progress by someone named Comic_Fan that corrects the blackwashing of Angrboda. The mod wasn't finished as it was a model that turns Angrboda white and it was only up on NexusMods and GameBanana for barely an hour before the jannies sperged out and banned them for "racism" but it's still on basedmods.com as far as I know. We just need someone to finish the model and figure out how to install it into the game.

In 2017 the owner was involved in a MeToo style hitpiece which triggered a plan already in place by the most insane leftist and their jannies to create a new website called ResetEra in the space of a weekend. 90% of the old NeoGaf traffic moved over there in a short period and the only ones who didn't were either apolitical or right leaning.

ResetEra is like old GAF on steroids and any wrongthink is permabanned. There's constant infighting, and many, many more splinter sites. Most of the old guard from gaf that went to ResetEra ended up on Twitter, some non-wokes went back to gaf, and gaf's right leaning attitude has become embedded over the years.

Interesting, always thought gaf was lefties and Resetera lefties who didn't feel gaf was left enough. Resetera is on par with rpg.net when it comes to retarded overmoderation, i can't even fathom why people still post there.

Ghost Of Yotei (GOY) makes me happy Ninja Gaiden hasn't come back yet. You just know Team Ninja would fuck it up and tone down the three things Itagaki said were integral to the appeal of it, gore, tiddies, and flowers. I hope Itagaki eventually gets back on his feet and makes a good game again instead of breeding Greyhounds. People always suck off Kamiya and Yoko Taro but Itagaki was the true king of game dev shit posts.

With the optimizations provided by the Xbox One X/Xbox Series X, Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 have aged like fine wine. I miss this chain-smoking misogynist as well. Tekken has a special place in my heart (especially part 3), but I love an opinionated dev who doesn't mind trashing the competition. I am such an Itakagki stan that I have finished Devil's Third multiple times, and you know what? It isn't that bad compared to the feminist goy slop released today. At least you get to play as a jacked male protagonist and attractive female characters are included in the game.

I think there was a campaign back in the day to mass upload the gay flag removal mod for Spider-Man 2018, which is the mod whose removal resulted in Nexus getting all the controversy. The owner of the site has a lolcow/prospering grounds thread here somewhere.

  PSSR upscaled 4K60+RT mode (replays are also 60fps now)

• Horizon Forbidden West: using new anti-aliasing technique, not PSSR. Both new modes have improved lighting, effects, and skin/hair rendering.

• The Last of Us Part 2:
  Seems like it had the least footage shown. The new PS5 Pro mode is basically the base PS5 fidelity mode at 60fps, but with the option of still using the old modes, probably just to more easily check differences.
• FF7 Rebirth:
  Only one combined mode now, 4K60 using base PS5's quality mode settings plus PSSR. Base PS5's quality mode looks worse than new Pro performance mode, difference is "almost night and day." LOD pop in could still use addressing though.
• The Crew Motorfest:
  One combined mode, 4K60 using PSSR, "way more detail" than base PS5's performance mode.
• Demon's Souls:
  One combined mode, 4K60 with new contact shadow system; base PS5 modes are still selectable.
• Dragon's Dogma 2: same visuals as base PS5 but at 4K with PSSR, with higher framerates in the 50s when base PS5 would be 30s-40s, which will make VRR useful.

As much as the Series S is a poorly-designed piece of shit, putting some constraints on devs and having an affordable yet powerful console was, in design and on paper, a good idea.

This gen though, with so few games out, devs focusing on the most powerful console, will piss off what little customers they have. It's going to be great.

Samus' listed height and such was said before Zero Mission came out, and in typical Japanese fashion they did not specify whether it was in-suit (contrary to many weeb claims, this is indeed a problem that started with the Japanese, see here: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/n02/dmg/mea/samus/index.html). The height of 6'3" makes more sense for in-suit, but the weight of 200 pounds does not.

The problem started with Zero Mission and leads into Other M, where they clearly tried to make her more appealing to Japanese tastes. The latter game especially focused more on her having daddy issues in regards to Adam and putting a mole on her face (in both cases because Sakamoto). She is a tiny Japanese female height in Other M outside of the suit, but Sakamoto to his credit has said the cutscene people got heights wrong.

Metroid, much like Mega Man, is one of those series that is generally more beloved on the Western side.

If it were any other group of people I would assume this is bait but I've seen way too many batshit snoys who act exactly like this. Also there was a mod on nexus that restored sounds (intended as a temporary fix until the emulator autists can get it to work correctly) which did include actual files from the game and it got mysteriously taken down right around the time the guy was threatening to report this to sony.

A funny bunch, those sony fans.
