KOEI Games

Let's hope the games turns out good. Curious to see if all those bullet points will come to fruition. But as far as I am concerned, DW8 is the best one, so I don't care that the series deviated from its original design.
I personally also like the power fantasy of SW4 and DW8 where they're basically lawnmowing simulators more than the classics, but I don't begrudge them going back to how things were in SW2 and DW4/5. I've been a musou fan starting with DW3 and I enjoy both styles of gameplay. I also hope that if they make an Empires spin-off of it that it'll be bangin'. My favorite Empires titles are SW2E and DW5E, I feel like these two had it where both strategy and tactics mattered the most.

DO NOT PURSUE LU!

nah, i wi-ACK
Looks cool. The only thing which bugs me is that the game supposedly only goes to the Battle of Red Cliffs. Especially since I don't know how they are going to handle the narrative. Still multiple angles from Wei, Wu, Shu and others ? Or just one long linear campaign?

Koei Tecmo is coming out with a Dead or Alive game about hot women. Venus Vacation PRISM - DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme :story:

There's nine partners confirmed, three for each factions, so knowing Koei it's probably going to involve dlc and expansions

as usual, i would wait for them to release the full version, like DWO Extreme. the Empires expansions are basically a different game altogether compared to base games

I don't think Koei is making extremes anymore; they have been experimenting with the dlc model for the past few years. SW5 didn't get any expansions and its only dlc was a few cosmetics, and Three Hopes didn't even get any DLC.

Played a bit of the demo. It was really fun surprisingly. I like there is check points in the stages so you dont have to start all over again if you fuck up. The officers however die like flies if you dont baby sit them hard enough.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins released early last night, and shockingly it has received nearly-universal praise :

Are we back?

I saw DWO on one of my RSS feeds and got excited. Origins looks fun. Kinda expensive for the base game though.

Will probably buy it tomorrow. The demo was fun, and it seems judging by the reviews that the game turned out to be good and having a decent amount of content. Quite expensive, but that's Koei Tecmo.

I think it's safe to say Origins is the revival that Koei was hoping for. Nearly 2500 reviews at 95% positive with 30k concurrent players on launch day isn't quite DW4 levels of success but it's the closest modern musou has gotten.

I bought Origins because I played one of the PS2 games way back when I went over to a friend's house. The game is very fun, I'm not sore over the price at all (personally).

Still haven't got my Steam key....just kill me now.
But I started playing Hyrule Warriors again just to kill some time. Good shit apart from the frame rate.
