If I'm reading this correctly, it calls for having a machine that is to be used by voters with low or no vision. My voting precinct has one such machine kept separate form from the other voting stations. It has options to either magnify the screen or read the ballot sections to the voter through a headset for privacy. I don't use or need this myself, so I'm not sure what interface is used to select candidates or yes/no items. When voting is complete, it prints off a ballot that can be fed into an optical reader just like a regular paper ballot.

If this is what is being required, it makes sense when looking at the situation in terms of accommodating disabled voters through the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

I've used machines similar to that.

When you enter they ask electronic or non electronic. If non, you are given a ballot and you head off to a cubicle to fill it out like normal.

If electronic, you are given the exact same ballot, but one of the volunteers goes with you to a machine and feeds in the ballot. The interface is a touchscreen A, B, C, etc.

After completing, the machine fills out your selections and spits out the completed ballot. You can check if you want, then drop off the ballot in the same slot as the people who did it by hand.

Those machines I trust, since it's just less penciling on your part.

I’m studying to be a pilot, so let me clarify: Usually when a sporting event is being held at a major park/stadium (and ESPECIALLY if a VIP/former president like Trump is in attendance), the FAA issues a TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) over the area to prevent aircraft from getting anywhere near it. This is both for the purpose of ensuring that no aircraft will crash into the crowds in the event of an emergency, resulting in a mass casualty incident, as well as safeguarding the VIP. For example, there’s been a TFR over Mar-A-Lago for years now.


Just as I suspected, a TFR was issued over the area.

So no one at the stadium even saw the plane. And even if the spectators could see it, did the Harris campaign even consider the demographic they’d be advertising to? College football fans in AL? Would they really expect anything other than a chorus of boos as that thing flew over? (wait, don’t answer that)

That was a terrific speech. He really nailed the point about Trump using empathy in diplomacy. Glenn Diesen often points to the dangers of dismissing the valid security concerns of rival countries-- it is fundamentally unreasonable and the opposite of diplomacy. Whatever Trump's foreign policy is, it is rooted in the reality of negotiation, not obstinate ideology. Despite his brain worm zaniness, RFK Jr can come across as clear eyed and prudent when he wants.

Trump just wants to negotiate peace. Kamala just wants to negotiate more war.

There is nothing for Trump to gain by having a 2nd debate. Kamala blew her chance to explain her platform to the undecideds and get a few zingers in, and Trump has better things to do than deal with openly biased mods that acted more like Kamala's tag team partners than debate hosts.

There is something to gain from the VP debate as Walz has a lot of personal and political baggage and Vance is good at dealing with the dumb games the media likes to play and is quick on his feet.
