Did Red Thread Games even do its research?!
I'm wondering if deep down these "progressives" find the canon POC characters boring, but because they have to virtual signal to their progressive viewers that they support representation they decide to blackwash characters they like. Ironically, in a "pro black" way it would be racist since they'd be admitting that they find the actual non whites characters boring and don't actually want more real rep.

Tbh, in the actual show I found Mel more interesting as a character than Jayce, but she is an attractive woman canonically getting in the way of the hc yaoi and therefore by fujoshi rule must be destroyed.
Yeah, I like this artist (they draw some really good body-horror artwork), but there are some bits that raise an eyebrow from me sometimes, but they're generally pretty good at burying the usual idpol shit this thread sees a lot of.

Reminder that Guts had one of the worst childhoods in all fiction and still had the fortitude to break the cycle of abuse by being a good father to his four children. Berserk is a story about an abused man overcoming extreme adversity through his sheer determination and dedication to his loved ones, and as such it is anathema to the bottom-feeding xitter scum because it highlights their own weakness and shallow relationships.
The only good thing with antinatalists is at least they won't have kids, so a poor child won't be subjected to having that as a parent. And they'll die without passing anything on, so the craziness ends with them.
While not SJW, I personally hate this 'style' of fanart, it's just so ugly. They say its stylised and such, but that's just to cover for their terrible anatomy, failure to draw nice faces and no understanding of color theory. And it's invaded horror art a lot, which is sad, as I love horror, but have to filter through this garbage to find the good stuff.
As an Berserk enjoyer I can explain... Berserk is pretty gay, even the mangaka revealed that huge inspiration for Griffith and Guts relation was Kaze to Ki no Uta (with Rose of Versailes), which is apparently one of oldest pieces of shonen-ai/BL manga. Plus Griffith is perfect example of "gay evil twink" (like Ryo, Kaworu).
But it's also very anti-gay, given the fact that Guts was raped by a friend of his father's when he was a kid, or how Griffith was used by old rich men as a plaything (which he played to his advantage, using it to gain ranks in society). I never saw a gay spark between them, for me it's more that Griffith wants to own things, and sees Guts and his crew as possessions, and having Guts never truly be his to own (especially after his relationship with Casca develops), his mind then breaks when both Guts and Casca 'abandon' him, and he ends up tortured in a dungeon for years after failing to gain the throne. He does regret it for a bit, but ultimately, he always wanted control and power.
Exactly, Griffith is flat out incapable of forming meaningful relationships with people because he is completely goal-oriented and only sees them as tools to further his ambitions - more stones for the path to the castle, as Ubik points out. Even as a cripple Griffith attempts to force himself on to Casca in order to reclaim ownership of her from Guts, and earlier in the same arc he is shown going out of his way to viciously punish those who act against him; ruining Guts' life by potatoing Casca and contaminating their son is just business as usual for him.

There's also so many titties, male/female sex scenes and shots of female characters in various states of undress. I'd say the manga has more of a loli-esque problem in parts than anything homo-erotic.

Berserk isn't gay but it's very very easy to read as gay. You don't even have to try, there is just so much almost homoerotic moments, but you also know it won't happen for real. It's not that type of series and that's what makes it so much fun.
