I was actually just thinking about something similar they do with Arcane.I keep seeing this person's art of them blackwashing Bebe in South Park. I don't even understand the point of this. Especially since the show literally has a black 4th grader in Nichole. Why doesn't the artist just make more art of her with Wendy?

Sai from Dustborn is a perfect example of this. Fat + Muslim + vitiligo + lesbian so she can be all diverse, even though she doesn't wear a hijab for the majority of the game. Although she is American (if she was in an actual Muslim country she would have a chance to be raped and stoned to death and her killers would get off scot-free), her father was Hindu and her mother was Muslim... Did Red Thread Games even do its research?!You can tell how performative an "inclusive" artist is by how they talk about Islamism, because the shit is damn near custom designed to reduce women to nothing more than disposable pets, and you still have people thinking it's cute to make OCs culturally forced to wear burlap sacks over their body so they don't get raped and killed with rocks.

I'm wondering if deep down these "progressives" find the canon POC characters boring, but because they have to virtual signal to their progressive viewers that they support representation they decide to blackwash characters they like. Ironically, in a "pro black" way it would be racist since they'd be admitting that they find the actual non whites characters boring and don't actually want more real rep.was actually just thinking about something similar they do with Arcane.
Why do all these fanartists make Jayce (and other characters) significantly darker/more 'poc' than he is in the show, yet almost completely ignore the actual black main characters Mel and Ekko??? Theyre young and attractive too, and even have canon romance implications. Are they just not yaoi enough for them?
I don't really see the problem? Maybe I just don't know the characters, but it looks like fairly standard fanart.I kinda like this artist's stuff, but boy are all the 'trademarks' really easy to spot. Especially when they're drawing fanart.
Tbh, in the actual show I found Mel more interesting as a character than Jayce, but she is an attractive woman canonically getting in the way of the hc yaoi and therefore by fujoshi rule must be destroyed.I'm wondering if deep down these "progressives" find the canon POC characters boring, but because they have to virtual signal to their progressive viewers that they support representation they decide to blackwash characters they like. Yeah, I like this artist (they draw some really good body-horror artwork), but there are some bits that raise an eyebrow from me sometimes, but they're generally pretty good at burying the usual idpol shit this thread sees a lot of.I don't really see the problem? For sanity reasons, assume around 1600 of those are bots.
I also just dont understand whats going on.
First of all, random brown person in ukraine tanktop with sideshave.
Second of all, the likelyhood of someones kid becoming an acclaimed scientist are significantly higher than their chance to become president of one of the most populated countries on the planet.
They couldn't even have used the common and decently rational 'curer of cancer vs potential prisoner' version??
It has to be a malignant coping mechanism for neverpicked girls in the same way that fat activism is for the criminally obese. Those women failed to compete in the the game and thus the prize, becoming a wife and mother, is actually a grave sin that will doom the world and ergo the neverpicked is secretly more successful at being a woman than her married peers are. There's a particular stripe of terminally-online autists who consider bringing children into this world as being unconscionable, because of whatever their personal hyperfixations are. What if we go into WW3, what if your child is trans and gender affirming care is illegal in your country, what if global warming, what if, what if. To them, bringing life into a world they consider in ruins is the same as being selfish.
It's a miserable mindset. It's one thing to dislike the idea of parenthood for yourself, or to say that someone in a warzone should probably not set out to get pregnant until they've escaped. But it's another to look at a proud, happy parent say she hopes that her baby does something good for humanity, and to say 'well, unlike your naive self, I am smart enough that your kid could also grow up to become someone BAD'.
Reminder that Guts had one of the worst childhoods in all fiction and still had the fortitude to break the cycle of abuse by being a good father to his four children. Berserk is a story about an abused man overcoming extreme adversity through his sheer determination and dedication to his loved ones, and as such it is anathema to the bottom-feeding xitter scum because it highlights their own weakness and shallow relationships. Why the fuck would they touch Berserk of all mangas? isn't Berserk in the sense a "white supremacy" anime/manga in their eyes???

This isn't some being realistic take, this is just straight up like viewing your child in bad faith. It's a fucking baby for christ's sake. People who look at a baby and judge it like they're some fortune teller, they're missing a few screws. It reminds me of this short I saw where this SJW mother was reading her newborn baby boy books on consent so he doesn't grow up to be a rapist. And it breaks my heart, he's literally a newborn but because he's white and male (nevermind that according to these people you can't know a baby's sex until they tell you) he's now a rapist in her mind. I can't imagine viewing your own baby you've carried in you for nine months in that light.
edit: I went on the artist's page and got so MATI, way more than usual. God, antinatalists and vegans are some of the most annoying cunts on earth.
The only good thing with antinatalists is at least they won't have kids, so a poor child won't be subjected to having that as a parent. And they'll die without passing anything on, so the craziness ends with them. There's a particular stripe of terminally-online autists who consider bringing children into this world as being unconscionable, because of whatever their personal hyperfixations are. While not SJW, I personally hate this 'style' of fanart, it's just so ugly. They say its stylised and such, but that's just to cover for their terrible anatomy, failure to draw nice faces and no understanding of color theory. And it's invaded horror art a lot, which is sad, as I love horror, but have to filter through this garbage to find the good stuff.I kinda like this artist's stuff, but boy are all the 'trademarks' really easy to spot. As an Berserk enjoyer I can explain... Berserk is pretty gay, even the mangaka revealed that huge inspiration for Griffith and Guts relation was Kaze to Ki no Uta (with Rose of Versailes), which is apparently one of oldest pieces of shonen-ai/BL manga. Plus Griffith is perfect example of "gay evil twink" (like Ryo, Kaworu). Why the fuck would they touch Berserk of all mangas? isn't Berserk in the sense a "white supremacy" anime/manga in their eyes???

But it's also very anti-gay, given the fact that Guts was raped by a friend of his father's when he was a kid, or how Griffith was used by old rich men as a plaything (which he played to his advantage, using it to gain ranks in society). I never saw a gay spark between them, for me it's more that Griffith wants to own things, and sees Guts and his crew as possessions, and having Guts never truly be his to own (especially after his relationship with Casca develops), his mind then breaks when both Guts and Casca 'abandon' him, and he ends up tortured in a dungeon for years after failing to gain the throne. He does regret it for a bit, but ultimately, he always wanted control and power. As an Berserk enjoyer I can explain... Exactly, Griffith is flat out incapable of forming meaningful relationships with people because he is completely goal-oriented and only sees them as tools to further his ambitions - more stones for the path to the castle, as Ubik points out. Even as a cripple Griffith attempts to force himself on to Casca in order to reclaim ownership of her from Guts, and earlier in the same arc he is shown going out of his way to viciously punish those who act against him; ruining Guts' life by potatoing Casca and contaminating their son is just business as usual for him.But it's also very anti-gay, given the fact that Guts was raped by a friend of his father's when he was a kid, or how Griffith was used by old rich men as a plaything (which he played to his advantage, using it to gain ranks in society). That's why he rapes Casca in front of Guts, it's the ultimate form of 'fuck you, I own you and you can never go back from this, this is punishment for trying to be independent of me, I saved you and gave you everything.'
I also can't find any sources for that being the inspiration, most of the inspiration for them comes from his friendship with other mangakas (specifically Koji Mori), his high-school friend group inspired the band of the hawk, and Mad Max and Conan the Barbarian influenced a lot of the styles and feel of the world.
Edit: also that manga panel is wildly out of context when on its own. Griffith is saying he likes Guts because he is strong, and he wants the strongest on his team so he can use them to further his goals. They mean nothing to him outside of tools for his use.
I get it, but there's like 50 shots of Puck's ass.But it's also very anti-gay,
There's also so many titties, male/female sex scenes and shots of female characters in various states of undress. I'd say the manga has more of a loli-esque problem in parts than anything homo-erotic.I get it, but there's like 50 shots of Puck's ass.
And I saw a tweet like that going "b-b-but look at your reactions to Nessa from Pokémon" and blaming US for it. I'm sorry, you were the ones who screeched at innocent artists for accidentally drawing Nessa 0.00001% lighter than she was in the original. You started that fight, so what did you expect?!I'm wondering if deep down these "progressives" find the canon POC characters boring, but because they have to virtual signal to their progressive viewers that they support representation they decide to blackwash characters they like. Berserk isn't gay but it's very very easy to read as gay. You don't even have to try, there is just so much almost homoerotic moments, but you also know it won't happen for real. It's not that type of series and that's what makes it so much fun.So Berserk is Schrödinger's gayness, gay and anti-gay at same time
