since we're sharing, for me, it was shortly after i discovered him that i realized that his takes were retarded and he's an alcoholic.
I had a similar story. I was in law school during early Weeb Wars, and I parroted some real basic black letter rule or analysis (I can't remember the specifics anymore) Nick had said to a couple of classmates. I had not bothered to check it because Nick said it with such confidence, and I thought he was a practicing lawyer at the time, so I trusted he'd get something so basic right.

Everyone looked at me like I was retarded and told me that was not the rule at all. Pretty embarrassing. I began to take a more critical eye to what Nick said during Weeb Wars and realized he was mostly full of shit.

One big red flag for me was despite Nick claiming to be a "real lawyer", he did not seem to have much court experience under his belt. In fact, it seemed to me he only had his practice set up for a year or two before he started to kayfabe his way around the internet.

Another fact that he never made reference to the practice in his streams was another concern. He would have been basically working two jobs on top of looking after his kids, so we should have seen far more stream delays. Yet, here he was, ready to get drunk on camera

It’s funny to me that Rekieta is tweeting about that, because the video I’m working on is all about his ‘trad cath monogamous’ thing:

I watched his coverage of the Rittenhouse trial and the Depp trial at work, since his streams were morning to lunch time in Europe. While I was mostly watching for the trials, I kind of trusted his commentary given his title as a lawyer and I liked that he didnt claim to be neutral but more trad/conservative. The first sign of trouble that I saw was the "bottle in the ass" incident, which I think I saw from a 4chan thread. After that I found the Kino Casinos coverage of him and then MATI.

Just out of curiosity, what snapped you out of it?
The Hedonism II shit cemented his lolcow status. I even told him to stop on poa.st when he shared those lewd bottle up his arse photos. I know, shouldn't be cowtipping and all, it was during #dropkiwifarms, the site was being attacked and I legitimately thought he was just drunk posting.

I thought the Hedo II stuff was just a midlife crisis dumb trip and left it there after being made fun of in the thread over tripods. I was experimenting with some dumb scripts I wrote for a project on various lolcow profiles and he was one of them. It inadvertently captured Ricardo and Romaine, which was shared in a post by @Balldo's Gate. I guess they were his "tripods" if you know what I mean. That's when I started to follow his antics more closely, I saw him abusing alcohol, showcasing undiluted lolcow traits and I even saw signs of narcotics abuse. I didn't want to sound like a schizo so I only ever vagueposted about it. (Like this one.)

Then Dear John spiel made me despise him and his daughter's GC-MS results showing she got more than 10x cut-off for cocaine metabolites turned me into a full a-log.

As a law student I also thought it was a huge red flag that he opened up his own solo law practice immediately after law school, seemingly without ever having clerked or having a long-term law job or mentor or anything (and refusing a mentorship from Schneider, which would have been an amazing opportunity for someone like him). All this after graduating from a law school which is literally known for accepting anybody. I cannot stress enough that that is just not something people do, unless they're Louis Brandeis graduating from Harvard in the 1800s or some shit. It's a very entertaining and tragic tale of what not to do, basically.

The hedonism trip hit me like a fucking baseball bat, but I managed to stay a fan up until that point. I was able to overlook his cagey behavior after the Vic saga due to the Depp trial hype and drama, and the Monty stream because he'd just lost his channel and tensions were high. But the fucker must have left at least 20 IQ points in Jamaica because he came back completely retarded and he's been steadily worse ever since. That stream with the wife-beater was the last time I clicked on any of his channels. After that trainwreck, I knew for a fact that Rekieta is a man that gets fucked up the ass.

Looking back with a keen eye, the Vic loss is when I should have written him off. He danced and shucked and jived around that L like a proper greaseball. It reeked of backroom lawyer bullshit but I refused to see it at the time. I half expected him to say "Vic who?" when someone super chatted about it.

I watched him on and off again, thought the Jack Murphy Cuck stuff was hilarious, his take on "communities" and why he didn't call his one was a pretty profound piece of advice still. Of course fully opposed his getting removed from Youtube, etc.

Then he started really shacking up with Dax, he was shit talking Eric July and supporting Dax and his gang of malformed malcontents (Riley et al). I was more in favour of the FNT crowd, though I didn't care that much for July, I just thought it was so vitriolic from them for no real reason so I dropped him.

I only really saw him again when people were posting THAT clip of him on the cokestream. I was shocked at how awful he looked. I ran straight to the Farms to see what the hell was going on and from there I got completely re-acquainted with him in the worst possible way (for him lol). Not too long after that the arrest happened, his page exploded and I decided to stick around.

Well, Ty Beard, who some people on this forum seem to think is a good lawyer, advised him to do this. It is a totally shit idea to go to a lawyer who opened their own law firm right after graduation and has never worked with anyone else. Not only does it mean that they never had any sort of mentorship, but it also means that they don't work well under others. Lawyers are a fancy form of consultant, and if your lawyer can't work with a senior lawyer telling them what to do, they aren't going to be working well with you when you become their boss.

It took me years to realize he was not a harmless goofball so you're not alone. Slowly, I began to hate him.
I disliked him at the moment I first read/watch anything about it. The Mignona grift irked me immediately - I guess the only posts pre-arrest I had here were calling him a grifter in 2021 or so - but I never followed the drama. Watching it unfold kinda confirmed my extremely cynical bias and the fact he looks and sounds like a conceived drama kid faggot didn´t help.
The very blatant lies even for someone that barely knew anything about him was what made it funny for me.

I learned about Nick during his coverage of the Maddox case. Started following more frequently as he got into the Vic case. Without PLing too much I'll simply say that around the time he was doing the Vic case, it meant a lot to me to see someone online who was a family man, proud father, and professed to care a lot about their faith, all while being more casual and not too serious.

I stopped watching his streams actively sometime after the Vic case because I wasn't able to stay up as long to watch his streams anymore, so I was following along mostly through here and various clips that went viral (the Depp case and Rittenhouse case, mostly). Seeing Nick at Blaze HQ while Ralph hollered outside really seemed to cement the fact that Nick was on the come-up and had a shot at getting into the mainstream.

Then the Locals debacle happened. Then Hedonism II happened. Then the bottle in the ass happened. Then the hot tub streams happened. Suddenly I was no longer hearing any good news related to Nick. He wasn't landing bigger interviews anymore or covering trials that got massive viewership. All that anyone was talking about was how much of a weirdo Nick was becoming. Even still, I didn't necessarily turn A-log yet. It was all fun to laugh at, but I wasn't personally motivated to follow it actively.

The spats he was having with Null and the gaslighting about how he had presented himself before changed that. It was clear at that point that Nick was a cow. One of the things I see a lot in cows is their desire to always correct the record and try to curate their image online, either through gaslighting and coercion or flat-out DMCAing and reporting content that makes fun of them. Nick can be a coy little shyster about it all he wants, but we all know what he was doing, and the fact that he can't be pinned down doesn't change that.

The revelations regarding the child neglect and the daughter ingesting cocaine almost made me want to leave the site. Again, not to PL, but seeing this type of behavior was genuinely infuriating and got me extremely MATI for personal reasons. It was verging dangerously into horrorcow territory for me and I was ready to check out before things got really bad. Thankfully the worst case scenario doesn't seem likely anymore.

Dealing with Nick's smugness over the last month or two has been really annoying, but it's been very gratifying watching it all come undone with the DENIALS from the judge. It's the kind of hard collision with reality that a lot of smug cows simply never get, so it's gratifying seeing a prideful degenerate finally got knocked down a peg or twelve.

Ralph was dead on when he said he had more experience in court than Nick

The funny thing about cows doing this is it invariably makes them look even worse. Nick had a little winning streak where this narc shit worked for him pretty well, but ever since the wheels came off, he's just made himself look more and more like an absolute piece of shit to the point he's viewed with near absolute contempt by almost everyone who knows about him except the utter dregs of the Internet.

It's just too bad Vic's bad taste in people to trust led him to yet another piece of shit in Nick and Ty. Nick sure made out like a bandit fucking him over, and then blew it all on booger sugar.

At schools which don’t send their students to firms consistently, you find a lot more grads opening up their own firms. There’s even a good number of grads from good state schools like UF or UGA who graduate and open up their own solo practice.

It’s not extremely smart because law is very much an apprentice-based profession. But if you’re someone like Nick who went to a third rate law school because he didn’t know what to do with his life and because he had family money to insulate him from bad consequences, it’s more understandable. It’s not like he could go from his rural Minnesota school to start as a first year associate at Kirkland & Ellis doing commercial litigation. Especially when he obviously wasn’t an amazing student. His legal knowledge is atrocious.

I stopped watching him around 2020 because it wasn't worth watching live or later anymore, and I used this thread as a way to follow the Rittenhouse trial. Then more and more was posted here that made me ask "wtf is he doing? he should stop being retarded". And it kept escalating. Asking Rittenhouse in what should have been a stellar interview if he preferred futa with "balls or no balls". Then Hedonism II and his hard turn into coomerism. Then it was clear he was on some kind of stimulant in 2023. And this year I was by chance able to catch the cokestream live and had a hell of a time laughing at him. The arrest was also hilarious but then MNPublicRecords let us know about the coked up 8 year old and it was time to go full alog.
