In my experience, Nordic people speak English much better than most other Europeans. Here's an example of a Finnish woman speaking English and another of a French woman speaking English. It's insignificant if an American eavesdropper couldn't detect an accent, especially if Flutter has been living in America for any amount of time.

But also, there was no guarantee that guy who claimed that she didn’t have an accent even had an ear for accents.

No offense to you seppos, but a lot of you can only pick up on an accent if it is a broad and damn obvious one.

I do wonder if Chris is applying for citizenship. He would need a passport and visa from what I've googled to do that. But either way he would need a passport and if he's staying permanently he would need to speak fluent Finnish or swedish language.

Yeah, I've been to Denmark and Iceland, and the Icelanders were obsessed with American media. It's good to have confirmation of the Finnish connection, but I wouldn't read too far into some random American's opinion of Flutter's accent or lack thereof.

I think it really boils down to Scandis watching most of their TV and movies in English while Germans and French watch dubs. It doesn't even make sense to say that the Scandinavian languages are better suited to English as Finnish is radically different from Swedish, but Danish isn't that different from German.

Don't know about the marriage thing. It is certainly coincidental that they're together in Suomi now. But you're right, that's hard to believe.
But the fact remains, they're in Helsinki together, no idea what to make of it, except that she seems to be, indeed, Finnish.
Possible she lives in the US? Family in Fi?

Well the person has a profile created in 2017 and has made Finnish comments on other subs before, so I think they're legit. That said when the first clip was posted I was sort of suspicious at first.

I was just taking note of it, is all. Regardless, it's nice that Chris has gone from wandering around malls in Bumfuck, Virginia, to wandering around malls in Finland.
