It used to be the smart ones were either in power on the reservation or they got off the reservation. But now there's some who can run thriving businesses on the reservations. It's usually gas stations or stores selling weed/knock off cigarettes but at least they seem to be staying afloat.

I remember going to a native run store as a kid, like maybe 6 years old, and the native behind the cash ended up giving me more money back than I gave him to begin with. That store should have been a goldmine and it slowly faded into oblivion.

I'm tired of how the only fucking thing Radio 1 talks about are natives, black people, and foreigners. I feel like I'm being lectured every time I turn it on and I would guess about 5% of the programming is actually interesting content these days.

I hate that white Canadian born Canadians are to blame for taking the native's land so we should give them money but the foreigners who come here, by choice, are given money too. How about we make the foreigners coming here pay for the native reparations?

This always made me sad; the nearby rez is on a highway and you'd occasionally see these absolutely lost mutts just wandering around the gas station looking to make friends. Once in a while one would be hit on the highway and you knew it's owner didn't give a fuck and would have another one they ignore half the time soon enough.

I remember that too. There's still some interesting programming, but it's maybe a half hour to an hour every other day when you get Quirks n Quarks or Under The Influence or some sort of news/history stuff. Early in the morning there's some DW programming with international news that can be interesting. Mostly it's slop talking about natives or newcomers or some other really boring idpol nonsense.

I've made friends with a good amount of abos and they all openly hate their own race, especially the ones who actually grew up on the reservation (they all call it "the rez"). The first percentage depends which definition is used. Trudeau widened it grossly. I've heard as low as 3% and believe it.

The 2nd percentage likely still fits the 3%.
