Crossposting from the Hurricane Helene thread. I thought this was somewhat relevant to US Politics because of the discussing of the hurricane here.

I watched the first bit and it was...an effort. Had RFK, Tulsi, Jordan Peterson, Russell Brand and some of RFK's favourite health peeps.
That was alright but I think holding it in Washington DC was a bad idea and they put RFK up right when Trump went onstage for todays rally. Dumb timing. Also RFK's team sucks at sound engineering - yesterday's town hall and todays event had awful sound.

Also one of the organisers went up on stage and literally said "If we don't raise 10K I'm gonna tell Tulsi and RFK to not do their bits" about half an hour later Tulsi and RFK came on anyway - I guess told them to piss off with that shit and came on stage anyway

Best bit was Brand and Peterson being pushed on stage to do a duo act. Matt Tabbi also had a speech slot too.

This is what I was told from anti-slop professor many years ago, Sodium Fluoride (the stuff you get in Crest and other name brands) is used because it's cheaper and all fluorides do help prevent cavities, but it's toxic. Which is why you should never swallow toothpaste of course. My Professor argued that Calcium Fluoride is better but I've never found toothpaste that actually has that.

NOTE: Please don't use my knowledge as definitive, look this shit up on your own. Fluoride Conspiracy isn't remotely out there that's why there's many hippy brands that do Fluoride Free toothpaste.

The problem is that fluoride actually is good for teeth in terms of enamel protection, the question is if that's worth it.

It probably isn't.

I remember reading about Coolidge in elementary school. The textbook included the story where a woman he sat next to at a dinner party purportedly told him she'd made a bet that she could get him to say more than two words (he was famous for being extremely quiet). He responded, "You lose." 5th grade me would've called that "based and Cal-pilled" if that was a term at the time.

Alex Jones’ media platform Infowars and its assets are set to be auctioned off to pay the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting after they won a defamation case against the conspiracy theorist.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez said on a 26 September court hearing that he would approve the order, forcing conspiracist Jones to sell off the assets in auctions in November, as per court records obtained by USA Today.

Free Speech Systems, Infowars’ parent company owned by Jones, will transfer its ownership to the trustee overseeing Jones’ bankruptcy case before it is sold.

Lopez ordered for Jones’ bankruptcy reorganisation to be liquidised in June. All his assets will be sold off, apart from his main home and any other exempt property. Court records explained that the sell-off auction will start 13 November.

Jones, despite owing more than $1 billion to the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, said to his followers that he will continue producing content. He added that his Infowars assets could be bought by his followers.

Jones has since admitted the mass shooting, which claimed the lives of 26 people – including 20 pupils between the ages of six and seven – was “100 per cent real”.

The anti-LGBTQ+ pundit also blamed the 2016 Pulse massacre in Orlando – which left 49 people dead and more injured – on the queer community, which he has called a “cult”

Bird augury has been fucking me up bad this year. I don't want to go full schizo. Birds being prophets is not a part of my religion. But a person I know well irl screwed around and deliberately offended a less common type of bird, a bird with with symbolism around kings and leadership. He had a petty gripe with it- it wasn't hurting anyone- and I said, he better leave that bird alone. I have a bad feeling. He scared it off his property. Then he got suddenly, almost fatally ill, which caused him to lose his role as the head of a very important organization. I knew it would be bad if he messed with that bird. That bird was holding up his mandate to rule.

I've seen hawks, eagles, owls, ravens, and kingfishers in unexpected places right before something cataclysmic happens. Don't ask me what birds I've seen lately unless you want spoilers on reality, that's all I'm saying man.

I will give Joe one thing. In his dementia ridden state he is actually pretty chill and dealt with that Trump supporter with the hat thing pretty well. Weird optics, but it was a fun scene.

Walz flipping off the Trump heckler is genuinely concerning as Kamala is proud of the Biden Admin using their power to legally go after Trump and his supporters. The party of "unity" shouldn't be this hostile to its fellow Americans.
