I was actually just thinking about something similar they do with Arcane.

Why do all these fanartists make Jayce (and other characters) significantly darker/more 'poc' than he is in the show, yet almost completely ignore the actual black main characters Mel and Ekko??? Theyre young and attractive too, and even have canon romance implications. Are they just not yaoi enough for them?

1. Because despite being filled with progshit pooners, they don't actually like fantasizing about sex with blacks. They hate them, but will never admit it, and think black characters are annoying or don't write about them because they're barely there.
2. No niggers in slash. The darkest character you'll get is a Cuban. Jayce is somewhat considered a shade of Hispanic, given his mother's name is Ximena, but he's olive skinned. This doesn't stop pooner porn artists from drawing his skin tone inconsistently - one artist with hideous art had him change skin tone from his shoulder to his face.
3. Yes, they hate Mel for getting in the way of Jayvik, saying Jayvik has better chemistry (sure, why not) and that she doesn't care about Jayce (she initially didn't but fell in love with him later on). They're mad Jayce and Viktor didn't get a sex scene (we'll see about S2) even though the Mel/Jayce sex scene was done by Amanda Overton...who is doing the sex scene in S2.

Its also funny that with all the woke fanservice in this show, as far as ive seen the by far most popular characters even with the woke teen girl part of the fandom that screams for diversity, are the emo skinny white girl Jinx and the emo skinny white boy Viktor.

Because there are no niggers in slash. Viktor is commonly headcanoned as a pooner and it's actually rare to see NSFW art of him that actually makes him look good. Most of it is ugly pooner shit, some artists of which I've posted here, who draw Jayce with an enormous penis and Viktor with a roid clit and vagina. S2 will definitely create more content with the Punished Jayce look and the hug between him and Viktor (as well as the affection comment), but most of the art is part of a circle jerk.

Viktor is also insanely good looking so that's a draw for people.
