It's no coincidence that after MGS3 and losing his main writer (who helped unfuck MGS2's military jargon and kept MGS3 semi-historically consistent) the "quality" of Koji's stories immediately went into the gutter. I dig MGS4's gameplay but the story was terrible, same goes for Peace Walker. Then we got full price DLC ground zeroes and a half-finished MGSV... I was out of goodwill for Koji before DS1 even released. Then it came out and was indeed the post-apocalyptic delivery boy simulator some joked it would be, with a hilarious mess of a story to boot. Add to all that a decade of utterly shameless pandering to Hollyjew in a sad and blatant attempt to ingratiate himself in the industry to make his own filmic slop one day (like he always dreamed of)... and I have little to no desire to see DS2 succeed or even release for that matter.
