Some other factors. You forget Fentanyl Floyd died which set off the summer of love. Looting and riots at night meant that stores had another excuse to lock up after 8pm. In the aftermath, the police 'reform' made prosecuting petty theft racist since no one wanted to incur the wrath of niggers so you had a shoplifting spike. Skeleton crew staff for 24 hours places is in no position to stop a group of feral hoodlums from ransacking the store and it cost money to staff at a time when people generally didn't buy things so companies looked at the bottom line and cut the third shift.

Edit: I also recall covid curfews in effect for many large areas too so that played into it as well. Coof was a clusterfuck but thats some other reasons why we no longer have 24/7 Walmart.
