Consumer drones have a multiple mile range. I can fly mine for up to 5 miles and still have 100% control and am able to view the live video stream without any issue. You can get much longer ranges if you really wanna drop the $. With a large enough battery they have essentially an infinite range as you really don’t need to be in line of sight any longer to control them. You can just set a waypoint and let it go and God willing it will come back eventually.

Mmmm I think too much emphasis is being put on the FAA intentionally getting involved, and not enough on the possibility they are forced to get involved. It's entirely possible some random cop, or hell, even a paranoid boomer see's this go down, decides they are going to involve themselves, is able to either take the drone down or follow it back to the operator, then proceeds to cause a commotion that potentially ends up with the drone being dropped on some FAA agents desk.

It’s free with some caveats. Hardly anyone who plays still plays 100% for free, so he def will get extra stomped. There’s over a decade of power creep that’s hard to overcome on a free to play account.

I have not gone through to see if it actually is his gameplay, but since it is on arcade mode I wouldn’t be surprised if it was. Even the worst player in the world will get a few lucky kills in arcade mode. Arcade mode is usually just a free-for-all of idiots racing to the objectives with absolutely no idea what they are doing. Any player worth a damn has moved on to realistic, and the best players have obviously moved on to Sim mode. With that leaves you as a bunch of Griefers and try hard and morons in arcade mode. But the good thing is if you ever want to feel better about yourself as a gamer go toss yourself in an arcade mode lobby, and you’ll feel like an MLG pro.

I think the scenarios Marty thinks up are creative, just because they're so exaggerated. Otherwise, the last two good troll things were the bender boy records, because that's just such an iconic moment in raxx lore, and the AI raxx thing when he poured water on himself. The xbox bricking was funny too, but simple.

I'm trying not to powerlevel which makes this incredibly difficult, but you just gotta trust me. Unless the paint thing goes VIRAL, the FAA won't concern itself until there's a proper report from Sally or Raxx himself. Even then, they aren't going to sit outside 339 Lloyd on a stakeout for when this guy shows up. To top that off, if he's smart (which he might be considering he's rigged a drone to drop shit) it isn't registered which makes tracking drones neigh impossible. There's a reason they mandated drones have a digital license that anyone can look up.

I'm actually in agreement regarding the FAA. I think Akron (or maybe Indy) PD will be the ones to get him. Not to reveal too much about myself here but I live in a fairly rural area and our sheriff's department operates thermal drones for search and rescue/fugitive recovery. They have a specialized drone unit. The point I'm trying to make is that law enforcement agencies are putting resources into drones. The threat on the horizon is obviously drones being used by criminals for intelligence and eventually payload delivery. This is something that agency's are aware of and are trying to prepare themselves for. I know Akron is a shithole but they probably get enough funding to support some electronic warfare guys. If it were me I'd use this opportunity to flesh out doctrine regarding detection, operator position finding, and jamming techniques for my department. Because eventually they'll face drones with lethal payloads and they want to figure out how to deal with them now.

TL;DR drone guy is inviting police to use this as an opportunity for R&D in regards to drone threats

He got 3rd on his team and most of the people below him got killed at spawn or bounced early. It’s arcade mode, that’s about what I’d expect.

I can go through and analyze the entire match if need be, this is one of my autisms. I’d like to think I can tell who is playing, so I’ll give it a shot.

Oh, it drives me fucking insane. But I know our community will eat him alive. Hence why I cared if it was his footage - if it was stolen the wrath of god would be brought down upon him.

Sadly it seems to be his footage.

He’s playing rank 1 tanks, half the teams are made up of bots and his side won bc they had a single tier 2 player down ranked to fill the queue. Rax just kinda sat back and stole 2 kills, both were in combat with someone else and he took a lucky shot during their reload phase. The match ended quickly bc they had the objectives. He really played zero role in the victory.

Tl;dr for non WT players - bot lobby with an accidental smurf.

ETA this nigger just fell off a cliff and nearly broke his treads. Jesus Christ he’s bad.

Edit 2 - he’s def playing bots. he is just spawn camping bots and still nearly dying.

Edit 3 - I’m tapping out. I can’t stand this any longer, he’s just so bad. Whoever said they were surprised his crosshairs aren’t on the ground, the only reason they aren’t is you can only aim down so low with the tank. He also has the game running on the lowest settings I’ve ever seen anyone run it on, I didn’t realize the game could look as badly. War thunder is known to be one of the most beautiful and well optimized games out there, I do not know what he has done to the poor game to make it look like this. I would pay $$$$ for him to upload his replay file so I could do a full breakdown and show you what everyone else would have seen on the field.

Fair enough, I'll trust you on that then. I just tend to think a-logs and poo touchers are closer to being caught fucking with cows than they are to getting away with it, but if this isn't one of those times, I can accept that.
