Good lord that's an actual tweet. How the fuck do we satirize these people going forward?
"Hey, uh, is Amelia ok? She's been screaming for thirty minutes into an empty void."
"Oh, yeah, she used to use twitter."
We let them satirize themselves all the way to irrelevance and the unemployment line.
I still have to shake my head at their complete blitz about the Russians "hacking" the election results as of late though. They do realize that the recounts have happened, proved that Trump won and most rural areas and some states still use paper ballots, right?
Russian hackers are
just that good they can hack paper ballots.

Salon's the kind of site that makes you question if the crazy fundies weren't so crazy after all.
I feel like that red light is a cry for help from someone in the office, like "Please, FBI. Plz, this is a red flag. Halp."
"A time where our glorious revolution
must reign supreme. Where those whom we choose for you amongst ourselves shall reign over you. Perhaps instead, I should stay forever. Even make me some fancy robes and a pimp hat, with a staff and septre."
They'll never come to terms with this. After Trump is inaugurated the REEEE will be harder and you'll read stuff about America being "under occupation" and it's going to be weirder and more bizarre and disturbing. And all the while they just won't do any reflection, they won't come to terms with their loss. Why should they? They were on the right side of history, they were screwed by this and that bla bla bla. I predict by the time of the next election they'll be utterly screwed because they refused to learn anything from this. In fact, I think they might even run Hillary again.
THE REMATCH OF THE CENTURY, OHH YEAH DIG IT!
The thing is, the
vast majority of Dem voters will at least give Trump a go, see how it goes because four years is four years. Much like how the vast majority of UK voters who voted Remain accept the result and now are simply waiting to see how things pan out.
The problem is when you get the loud mouthed fanatics, and it can skew your perception. Here in the UK we had the same sort of shouts and idiocy. We had young, trendy liberals saying how bad it was democracy favoured the older among us and that their single vote should count for
five of an over 60 because "they have to live longest with the consequences of the vote." The ones where only 30% or so could be arsed to get out of bed and actually vote wanted their already meagre numbers to be expanded on five times because of how racist and dumb old people are.
Not that they're the only ones who never turn out so aren't engaged as much because no matter how much political parties throw money at youth wings etc, trying to get them to vote is always an annoyance.
Democracy only works when it works for them, the moment it goes the other way you get things like "tyranny of the majority" etc.
I kind of fear that the Dems are currently hurtling headlong at the same situation the UK labour Party is going. The Labour Party, at the moment, has more members than the other parties combined.
But their polling numbers are
absolute trash because 1) most of these members are in trendy inner cities, with a
vast majority of those in London where the party does well traditionally 2) A lot of Labour MPs backed remain, while most of their constituencies are similar to the rust belt in the US and so voted Leave.
I can kind of see the Dems retreating as they'll have to at the moment due to the losses they suffered during this election. This means the well they will draw from is almost exclusively coming from those very same trendy inner cities
they don't need.
