If Trump was smart, he would ok one last debate on the contingency that Kamala goes to GA/NC NOW and offers aid. Kamala wouldn't get any credit for doing it because she'd only be doing it thanks to Trump.

I guess i haven't been paying too much attention but this must have felt like how the 1984 election debates were. just a total steam rolling to the point where being nice was even a W.
Tim blatantly looked outclassed and even said it himself, He's a knucklehead, he's a loser and despite Vance pulling a Jim throughout the debate, he was still willing to befriend and agree with his Dwight when he wanted to show his softer side. its like one guy said on twitter "this is a divided america on the verge of civil war? give me a big break" and its true. Vance felt like a perfect mix of a throwback politican of the obama era but without the conservacuck qualities we saw back in 2012. He says the right things but also isn't advocating to sell out the country to DEI and immigrants. a fash and a commie both agreeing about how bad the state of the country is and that we need better solutions. In a time where everyone was at each others throats Vance talked in a way that made it seem that even Tim would be endorsing him by the end of it.
thats why Vance being so nice to him worked, like i said earlier. it was someone going "we're friends bro, thats why we can make jokes" (which are actually just bullying the autistic)

exact opposite, as people ITT have said and how people have reacted all over social media Vance clearly showed he isn't "weird" but seems to be the only competant, normal thoughtful guy running. he clearly showed he cared about issues, can admit when he's wrong and when people on the other side have good points and is willing to call people out on their bullshit. The same way Pence "balanced out" the ticket for trump in 2016, Vance showed himself doing now, except while his demeanor appealed to moderates and neos, his policies and substance blatantly appealed to the harder right wingers.

In most years, I would agree with you ... Not in this election cycle, though.
A debate ended Biden's entire political career this year, and Kamala's numbers continue to bleed out since the debate that the media keeps telling us that she "won" a few weeks ago (Trump won, and voters know it).
The VP debate typically doesn't make all that much of a difference, but hoo boy ... The memes have been plentiful already. Don't be shocked if we see this debate affect the polls even more.

Pretty much. You did miss how terrible Walz' body language was, but the only way this debate would matter for this election is if one of the two candidates made a career-ending mistake, like saying a slur or breaking down on stage.
I will say, this debate does matter outside of this election, though, because it's proven that Vance is a formidable candidate who has the makings of a future President.

I fucking hated this debate.
I had ordered pizza for the presidential one thinking it'd be fun in a dumpster fire kind of way only to be sorely disappointed, so for this debate I didn't order anything, I didn't even buy a beer, I was actively seething when I realized that this debate was going to be exactly what I wanted the presidential one to be, realizing that I should've ordered that fucking pizza.
Shit fucking sucks man, it ain't fair, the best laughs come when you're the least prepared.

Thats my takeaway from comments, besides needing a splash zone for the bukkake fest over Vance. Trump became the old ball and chain in favor of hot new mistress, Vance, and his base wouldn't be sad if he was successfully assassinated day one.
