Because Walz appeared unaggressive, cowardly, and rather pathetic. For Republicans who've dealt with absolute vitriol, a guy who just turns into a shaking nervous wreck when talking and not outright screaming NAZI is considered socially acceptable.
In reality, Walz is as them all, except he is a coward, and cowards are just as dangerous, if not more so, than the brave when allowed.

The last part about the "cliffnotes" of the debate is funny. "Damn, Kamala's VP didn't do so hot in a debate against Trump's VP? Guess I'll vote for Trump, the guy who lost to Kamala Harris in a debate for the presidency, as President!" Totally consistent logic! Base your vote for the presidency on the side-position that has no real power outside of tiebreaking and being a warm body to occupy the presidency in case of an emergency.

Trump is the Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States. Kamala is not running for the Vice Presidency. Tim Walz and JD Vance are.
Trying to write Kamala off because she's the current Vice Presidency is some really funny cope. Trump isn't even in office, why are you championing some convicted sex offender and fraudster succeeding at the first debate as a win?

A major conflict is about to break out in the Middle East possibly leading to another world war involving a historical ally and enemy of the US who is also the hegemon of the world albeit a weakened one. The leader of the US will have to be involved therefore bringing it up in a debate between the number 2 of both parties fighting to be that leader is legitimate no matter how much you hate jews.

2022 Trump voters stayed home, didn't participate and the recent abortion ruling riled up some people thr wrong way.
The entire political climate has turned the other way in favor of trump. Republicans are registering more voters to their party for the first time in decades. That is unheard of.
Vance is the future of the republican party. There is no way around it. Either conform or be left behind. Trump Republican party is the only solution to saving America.

Seems less annoying than receiving alerts from that insipid Kamala Wins account on Twitter. I don't even know how that's happening given that I block everything politics related on social media.
The media has kissed the Democrats asses for so long and so hard that now their candidates can't deal with anything but the softest of softballs. Even their next golden boy Newsom falls apart to any kind of pressure (see him with Adam Carolla).

Slight PL, but I once had a job where they hired a woman who wanted to move everything in house, so she started to complain often about our job. Her bosses didn’t particularly agree with her but they thought she was good at giving feedback. One day, we delivered our best work and I knew that whatever comments we received, they would be petty. Sure enough, we were shown very tiny flaws that did nothing to improve the product, or even misconceptions that had no basis in reality. In the end, we kept the client and they were happy.
Those comments remind me a lot of what’s going on with Vance. They know they can’t outright admit that he did amazing, so they’re going through this “no clear winning”/“slight edge performance bullshit.

I really want to like Walz but the fact that he passed the child trans surgery bill in his state is such a deal breaker for me. I just hope he did it out of ignorance more than anything.
