Clout is essentially another word for fame or popularity. To use it in a sentence, I would say something like "I'm gonna draw Thomas Jefferson as black and trans with a Miku binder for clout."

Reposting this from the Social Justice Warriors page. I'm seeing this pop up on my TL and tons of comments saying the same thing. This is the problem with labels. To these people, if a character doesn't outright say they're straight despite being with nobody but women then they can either be bisexual or gay, but haven't thought of it yet. This is a "Burden of Proof" fallacy, and again, unless a show's creators wanted a character to be gay or bi then there's no reason to assume a character is LGBT, autistic, ADHD, etc.

For those who don't know, the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a character, Willow. She was the best friend of the titular Buffy. From the start of her introduction, she had a crush on Xander, another friend of Buffy's who was a boy. Later she began dating Oz, another boy - even cheating on him with Xander. This all happened over 3 seasons. In the fourth season, they had her fall in love with Tara, a girl. Even after Tara was killed in season 6, the next person Willow dated was another girl.

Oh did I also mention she was the resident witch of the group?

So you just know tumblr took her. I don't have any research on the matter, but I would place a large bet that they embraced the idea (and it has since passed down culturally) that just because a character has been straight for years doesn't mean that character can't be gay tomorrow.

I wasn't deep involved in it or anything, but remember seeing the spillover into other websites. And yeah part of the arguments and fights were over whether it was a "retcon" (readas: "She was gay all along and was repressing it.") or she was bi. Such were autism fights this farm was born from.

It sounds like an unexpected consequence of putting same sex characters together. Not sure what the creators had in mind but I doubt they were anticipating such fights.

That's the funny thing about these people. They're the same ones to groan and complain about capitalism and want to abolish it but most of them don't realize capitalism's the reason they're even able to have what they have today. People complain about capitalism but not the ones who take advantage of capitalism. It's not an entity, it's a mere concept. It's not a living being. Capitalism's not at fault—it's the people who exploit capitalism's at fault.

It's the same with furries and the trans community. They're probably the most capitalist-dependent communities I've ever seen yet are one of the most vocal in screaming to eat the rich and to abolish capitalism for good. Capitalism's the reason transgenderism didn't last into just a mere legend; a fading fad and concept. Capitalism's the reason them furries were able to make a profit out of the bare minimum. Not to mention from the picture provided, they love making things absurdly higher than they need to. But don't criticize them on that, though. It's their art and they price it however ridiculous they wish to, they say.
