I don't think you get it. I'm not complaining about JD Vance. I'm just saying his story isn't anything new, and the movie failed to make anything out of it.
You know, I could join a misfits sports team tomorrow where we make it all the way to the finals and face off with the ultimate jocks; that doesn't mean you should make a movie out of it, it's been done a thousand times before.

I think I understand.

I suppose not everyone is going to connect with his story. That's a fair point. Though I can't understand how anyone couldn't connect with the arc of his grandma and mother. Precisely because it's classic tragedy, not in spite of it, with amazing acting behind it.

I also think you and me watch movies based on real stories with very different eyes. I'm sure as shit not judging a movie based on a real story by its plot twists. I'm happy to just see how the drama is going to play out and how the real characters interact with it.

edit: I suppose it's the same when I watch those sad nigger story movies, based in real life niggers, and I don't feel anything about it.

Confirmed Anti-Life drones and Die For Darkseider Michelangelo Signorile is pitching a fit over Facebook deleting his hate fueled "report" on the VP debate and one of the retard anti-life guys in the comments section is telling Signorile that he has Trump moles following him on Facebook reporting his postings/articles for deletion.

Harris has been running as a generic Democrat. There's a reason she didn't bother to put up an 'Issues' page on her website until recently.

Vance was brilliant in the sense that he hammered home, in damned near every response, that it was "Kamala Harris's" economy/policy/etc.

Walz was initially trying to get him off the rails and then ended up having to play defense the whole time. I'm pretty good at reading people and I've worked in high stress industries where fucking up can be fatal... watch his eyes.... the latter half of that debate he was experiencing sheer terror.

I've seen that look once and I'm grateful to be alive as the man who had that look composed himself and managed to mitigate the problem before it killed him (and probably me).

Hasn't Carter mostly been in a comatose state for the past 6 months? I remember reading something that he took a turn for the worse after his wife died and isn't conscious for long periods of time.

Then again, the DNC has been playing with another corpse in Biden for the past 4 years so maybe that's just how things are done

Jimmy Carter was a terrible President ... But he did do a lot of good as an ex-President.

An asshole like Joe Biden? I don't feel sorry for him as everyone laughs at his bumbling, arrogant, cognitively-declining ass. Carter? Yeah, I genuinely feel bad for him. He doesn't deserve this.

This is kind of reminding me of Betty White during the hype of her 100th birthday (she sadly passed away only ~2 weeks shy of it), except her family didn't exploit her in such a ghoulish way. During the last couple of years before she passed, I did take notice that she was no longer in the public eye and that only published statements from her were being released from time to time (so as sad as I was, I was not surprised to find out she had passed away).

After she had passed, her family decided to share a super quick video message from her that she had filmed shortly before her passing. She was dressed nicely, she had her hair and makeup done, she still had that adorable smile on her face, etc. It was a lovely farewell from one of America's sweethearts, and it didn't feel exploitive. She was able to peace out with dignity, and it's sad to realize how so many elderly people are not granted that dignity.

Watching that Jimmy Carter footage is both tremendously depressing and infuriating. I'm legit MATI that family members would exploit a supposed loved one like this. Disgusting.
