A dictatorship has been tried in America and failed with FDR.
i'd say it worked really fucking well for the left. Him and harry not touching immigration probably helped a lot too.
The rightwing have had four years since getting their second Trump term stolen to figure their shit out regarding this.
and they have a solution ITS CALLED PRAYING. THE BEST SOLUTION THE RIGHT WING HAS IS PRAYER.
Is he paid to tweet like that?
yes and a lot more than you think. the left gives so much money to people its insane, the catholic church has nothing on the libs.
Solid 7.5/10,
how can it be a solid 7.5/10 and also better than 90% of movies? those two numbers are completely off. just admit its a 9.9/10 according
My hope is that eventually all political parties are banished and everyone has to run as an Independent, but last time I brought that up people were convinced the same parties would live on in the background
its true that the parties live on in the background, like in county elections where you don't state party preference, the platforms and views naturally coalesce into a left and right. i went to one of the largest collages in the US and the college elections were also mandated not to have a political party and again naturally based on issues there is eventually a line and you will have people pro and against an issue, even on something as simple as gender neutral bathrooms or beer on campus sales. Having said that another thing that is mostly why "non-identifying/non-partisan" stuff has declined rapidly in the last decade or so is because if you let people naturally group up on issues, surprise surprise people tend to be pro-freedom, anti-degeneracy, pro-capitalist, and anti-minority. AKA way more conservative. Its crazy even going back years among years of even college election results and finding that college students almost always reject a lot of liberal pet causes the seem normalized like gays if put up to votes.

But ultimately with literally thousands of samples to pick from its obvious that political parties are a natural consequence of letting people have a say

Maybe that's Walz's strength but don't let that distract you from the fact he's a duplicitous snake of a man. He still name dropped Amber Thurman, spouting media lies about her story. He still had the gall to insist that healthy people should be paying the most into healthcare as of it were a socialist system. He still went out of his way to bring up January 6th thinking he would catch Vance in a gotcha moment, and Vance just smiled because he knew it was coming. It doesn't change the fact he openly lied about things he did in Minnesota. If anything, he's a good actor and little else. It's hard to give him compliments when there's no substance behind the things he says and I KNOW he's lying.

If anything, I'd argue it's Vance's strength that he let Walz maintain that level of humility without attacking him for it. He could've gone after Walz for lying, but he didn't. That's why Walz was able to humble himself as much as he did. Vance let him get comfortable. And what happened? Walz made his own mistakes.
Walz reminds me literally of the car salesman from movie Fargo.

Kamala picked Walz because is she didn't want to be upstaged by a competent pick.
If she picked Shapiro or Newsome, alot of normies would be asking "Why isn't he on top of the ticket?"
Normies should be asking that every day regardless.

Then follow that with "wait why are these two assclowns the best options we've got".

You have severe reading comprehension issues. Holy illiteracy!

Go read what I actually said a few more times until you get it, if you care enough.

If Trump wins we should be given carte blanche to raid the DJT lolcow thread for 24 hours.
I am curious how the mods are going to handle the aftermath, whatever the results may be. We should, though, get at least a little gloating in. Lord knows I'll be all smiles for the holiday family get-togethers if the election goes my way.

I'll be very happy for Americans if Trump wins. It's to late for my country, but yours still has a chance to restore its glory.

I really despise this guy. Jeff Tiedrich is like an 8 year old's idea of edgy.

Crying about Trump for 8 fucking years, and yet he only seems to come back into existence whenever it looks like he's about to win.
Oh did they? Hillary is still crying about losing to Trump 8 years later.

Gore would still be crying if anyone gave a shit about what he says.

What they're doing to Carter is ghoulish.
Watching that Jimmy Carter footage is both tremendously depressing and infuriating. I'm legit MATI that family members would exploit a supposed loved one like this. Disgusting.
PL'ing a bit, this is more poignant to me as my mother passed away recently. It was distressing seeing her decline, glad she doesn't have the pain and suffering anymore, though. (cancer for several years, but the end decline was only ~1 week) It makes me sick seeing someone exploit a dying or dead family member that way.

Except
Mittens wasn't in Congress in 2012. He was the former governor of Massachusetts. Then he moved to Utah and ran for Orrin Hatch's seat in 2018. And won.
Al Gore lost the presidential election and then went to grift for big climate crisis. He also found time to found Current.TV and helped make The Young Turks famous. Then sold Current.tv to Al Jezerra for a lot of money.
Hillary didn't fuck off. She blamed everyone but herself. Wrote a book. Made the rounds on tv. Kept saying Trump cheated and his followers are dangerous.
Trump lost in 2020 and tried to fight it. Lost and then fucked off for a little bit. Then the government came a knocking and started to fuck with him.

even if its better than 90% of movies that came out in the last 5 years, just by the numbers your ass has to grade it higher than 7.5 the fact that you're calling me out instead of going "golly you're right ron howard only makes 9.9/10 movies!" means you know you were fluffing up some basic bitch hallmark film.

Those poll results say Biden 63.8% and Trump 35.4%. The actual (alleged) results of the election were Biden 51.3% and Trump 46.8%. Which means the polls were +12.5 for Biden and -11.4 for Trump. If we apply those differences to the current polls it would mean that Trump would actually be at 60.7% and Kamala would actually be at 36.9%!

If he's so unpopular then how did he win in 2016 and then not only get over 11.2 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016 but got the most votes in US history... except for Joe Biden, allegedly?
"But popular votes!"

Neil is a retard. Or, straight up more delusional than actual Neil Breen. I'd say a solid half of the dems are like this, completely, utterly demoralised (in the bezmenov sense) living in a little bubble where trump is Darth Satan McHitler. That's how you get 2 mentally defective, dysgenic retards to try and assassinate a presidential candidate and ex president. That's how you get 3 retarded judge to sign onto some ridiculous kangaroo court bullshit to stop orange man.

It's sad, but there is no easy solution there. There's no cure. Those ''people'' will be like this until Trump dies, then they'll either retreat and stop caring, or just switch to whatever successor of Trump (like don jr, or vance etc)
I just don't understand how people, who aren't actively trying to be evil, can be like this. How does someone just go through life without a sliver of curiosity about reality, and just eats up whatever the mainstream media and government tells them to believe in?

How can a functioning adult spend their whole life in the fucking fog, without at least trying to engage honestly with an opposing view point, at least once? It's just basic curiosity, for fuck's sake.

So I just watched the MSNBC post-debate panel from Rachel Madcow's show.

The black chick ranting about how Walz shouldn't have been so civil ... Lady, you are so full of hate and vitriol that it's amazing.

Granted, amid her hateful ranting, she did make a good and truthful point about Walz agreeing with Vance in the sense that he's making a good case to the viewers to vote for the Trump Vance ticket and failed to make a case for the Harris Walz ticket ... But ultimately she was just angry that Walz didn't race bait and call Vance every pejorative in the book.

Her justification behind her hate is that "this isn't a normal election," and that "these candidates are NOT like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan."

The gaslighting, like woah. Romney and Ryan were called Hitler and Hitler Jr back in 2012 ... The Obama Campaign said that they had literally declared a "War on Women," and Biden literally said that Romney would put black people back in chains if he won.

These pinko commies are just mad that Trump fights back against their vitriol. That is exactly where the Trump Derangement Syndrome comes from ... They hate that Trump throws the mud right back at these bitches.

Because people have been fucking conditioned through decades of programming to be this way. I used to want to blame the media itself and it is a big part of it, but I myself have consoooomed plenty of media and just stopped once it started getting overtly about DEI shit and trannies than producing content.
But for decades, American culture has been tilted toward "themes" that didn't just reflect a public mood but rather helped shape it. It really accelerated hard with capeshit because once marvel/Disney started shitting out yearly superhero movies they realized they could put whatever messaging in there and still make a fuckton of money. Social media has fed into people's ego and need for constant appraisal and attention, it makes people addicts who rely on it for social interaction and start to lose a sense of how to do things that were once key to our survival. I've talked to some zoomers unfortunately, and younger people really seem to be lacking social skills in a way I've never seen before. Without social skills they're very reliant on a demonstrably corrupt media system for much of the content they consume and news they see. COVID played a huge part in that and was the testing ground - after years of movies, tv, comics, and news all preaching that while sometimes flawed The Government is the good guy (when Dems are in power of course) and we should default to their authority. The notion that the government are literally our fucking employees is all gone, and a depressing number of people are addicted to that comfort from years of not having to make their own decisions.
