While Megan is a piece of work, and her sister (SIL?) Tina, has been tossed from the show, I’m not sure they have the SM presence to make it worthwhile. Vanessa, was slow to get her life together, and has a son that is somewhat problematic, but apart from that seems to have been able to get herself together enough to actually achieve her goals. Megan has always been a lazy, failure, jealous cow though, and always will be. Guaranteed she and her hubby/boyfriend will still be living in Tina’s basement.

The first episode is a disappointment. I don't like any of them any more. Amy is a needy bitch. Tammy uses her "dead husband" for attention for herself, and everyone is obsessed with skin removal as if that will make them look normal (good luck on that!) The makeovers looked hideous and even more hideous the next day. They're all as dumb as sticks and not in a fun way like they used to be. I think there's something to be said in getting peeks at the freaks in small doses. A yootoob video here and there is all I need. I don't want to participate in their feels.

I dunno, maybe I'm growing into a grumpy old prude or something ...
But I am increasingly getting annoyed with these people saying "Hi, bitch!" or "Hey, bitch!" all of the time. The Slaytons do it, the people in this show do it ... A lot of people do it.
It makes them look like trashy dipshits ... Especially when people like the Slatons say it in front of young children.

It’s further weightloss they don’t have to work for. Unfortunately for all of them, they are not ready for skin removal surgery. Tammy could use some surgery currently, but it won’t be close to a final result, and she will definitely not look even close to normal after. Her only chance of ever looking “normal” will be if she gets cremated and her ashes are returned in an urn. Same with all of them really. At least Misty seems to realise that loose skin removal isn’t a walk in the park, so would rather live with it than get it removed. Then again, I don’t think Misty ever hit the lofty heights in weight that her siblings got to.

Finally watched the first two episodes of the season. Amy is delusional, and I almost want to say she's a lost cause.
Tammy and Amanda are both stupid cunts. I understand where each is coming from (except for Tammy saying she does shit for everyone, because I'm pretty sure she doesn't), and their issues would be so easy to solve if they could just communicate constructively, but both have such huge egos and such huge attitudes that it's just a fucking disaster.
But it was also a stupid idea forTLC Chris to schedule a family meeting at Amanda's house while she's actively in pain. Pain makes most people edgy.
Misty looks really good, though!

Well, yeah, Misty likely doesn't have the absolute excess of loose skin that Tammy or Amy does, so it's probably manageable. I could certainly see Tammy having genuine discomfort over dragging around all that loose skin and it becoming health hazard due all those folds. But yeah, they'll never look normal. The only somewhat good results I can see are where there's not a lot to remove.

OMFG! Watching Amy cook is why I never eat anyones cooking but my own and the people I trust. If I go to what you yanks call a potluck, I take enough that I can just eat whatever I made myself.
ETA: I spent most of this episode looking at Amy, Chris, and Tammy’s bellies thinking why has no surgeon taught them the pinch test. After 35 years working with bariatric surgeons, we rarely talked about how much weightloss came before skin removal surgery. It was pinch your abdominal roll, if your thumb and middle finger pretty much contacted, then wait one year and if that’s still the case then you’re ready.
ETA 2. The Slaton family is so fucked that they make my disjunctional family (and we have dark haired male Auschwitz polish grandparents and blond female grandparents were sexually assaulted victims look like God’s gift).
ETA 3. Amanda to Amy: “We can go to the gym for an hour and then get ourselves a frappe “. WTF is wrong with these people? Amanda has no fucking clue! No wonder she has had her 2nd WLS and is still fucking fat!

Has anyone watched the full new episode? They posted part of it on youtube 5 hours ago. I'm wondering how long this episode happened before Amys drug arrest. And yeah that cooking was fucking psycho, never in this life did I imagine I'd find myself sympathizing with Tammy, but look where we are

The new episode isn’t due to for 3 more days. Filming is months ahead of real time. In the current series, Amy hasn’t even met the man she was arrested with yet. I watched a full version via YouTube the day it aired. It’s generally on YouTube around midday Wednesday in Aus, so should be Tuesday night in the states. You have to get it quick (and the audio is shithouse and the video reversed) because TLC gets them taken down within the day.
