Fetish is its own sexuality sometimes. There's people who will only get turned on by fiction or nonhuman objects that no one else will understand aside from people like themselves and researchers. It can happen by being trained or by wires crossing, or a little of both. I don't put any stock into her sexuality unless she dates someone she has IRL contact with.

I think it is understandable if someone is living in a place with a lot of black people and draws portraits and never draws black people to complain, but if someone draws fanart it's not always likely that they'll have someone black to draw. Especially for anime fans.

If she's talking about Bridget from Guilty Gear, apparently his arc is that he tried to go back to living as a male but was so used to being raised female that he stuck with that instead. That's like the opposite of transgender, where you were born one gender and were raised as such but are much more comfortable as another. I'm sure there totally isn't a contradiction there due to online queer theory being an excuse to do whatever you want and make others agree with you but whatever.
The other problem with allegories is that they can be read more than one way. There's tons of fights over whether or not if the author gets the final say over what others think, and even trans people will yell that the author has no authority and CLEARLY wrote a trans character. Metaphors about fitting in or choosing to be reborn into a new group aren't invalid takeaways.
