It used to have the largest self-guided safari outside of Africa until they closed it down. Now you have to go in the park and get on one of their trucks.

Kingda Ka has a long wait, and Green Lantern is Immense Discomfort: The Ride, but most of their coasters are worth. Keep in mind that there are a lot more foreigners, blacks, Hispanics, and Hasidics than there used to be. There are so many problems and fights now, that there’s a chaperone policy, which wasn't there when I was a kid. Much more expensive too. You’re better off going during the off season.

Edit: Basically Great Adventure is suffering the same problems as Disney’s parks, albeit on a smaller scale. Can’t tell you much about other Six Flags parks.

I married well out of my league and as we've hit middle age my wife has talked about having work done to her face (specifically botox). Which I don't understand as she's aging far more gracefully than anyone I know and so far I've been able to talk her out of it. She's 38 and occasionally gets carded. She's still a goddamned smoke show.

What I've realized is that how women see themselves is not the same way that others do and they hold themselves to standards that are impossible. She may have changed a bit since she was 21, but she still looks pretty damned good.

In the language they use it’s clear they are trying to discourage the obvious conclusion that they were unprepared and botched a response to something that was signaled for a week ahead of time. You’d normally open up with how you were saddened about the loss of life and property and how your heart goes out etc, instead the first two paragraphs sound like something you’d put on a cover letter for a job you’re unqualified for.

To add to this, having a good attitude and generally being a tip top person more than makes up for if your nose is a bit on the schnoz side or if you have a slightly crooked smile. Most people won't remark you're ugly or fucked up in any regard if you're legitimately full of merit. IE: Nobody is judging bob ross for his hair nor were people debating how hot or not Mr.Rogers was.

That and pure opinion, Most people who obsessively work on their face til it's more of a plastic mask than skin tend to be profoundly broken and unhappy people or image obsessed over actual lived reputation corporate or political dynasty types. It's also the one feminist-y bend I will concede to. Women are viciously over judging and over market pricing one another thanks to a few generations of brutal marketing bullshit in some arms race of shit that only matters like 25% of the time tops when a solid chunk of men just want someone to talk to and come back home to reliably and will have some input of their own to put in or take the load off of life's difficulties from time to time.
