I don't think you can use copyright on mug shots. Public information. Of course many county sheriffs websites have user agreements when you click through about how you are permitted to use the information provided in their jail database. I don't know how enforceable those agreements are. Nor how realistic it is for a county sheriff to go after someone especially if they are not in his jurisdiction. I think the only people they will really consider going after are those scammy public mugshot databases that shake people down for money to get taken off of their list.

And as for Aaron's suit walking photo, that would be up to the photographer. I suspect the person who took that photo isn't a huge fan of Aaron so wouldn't mind the photo being used in this way.

Let's face it. On those products, it doesn't look like a mugshot. No prisoner number. No height markings behind him. Nobody but the person who set that up will buy any of it.

I think the best Aaron could do is to find the text from the county website about permissible use of that information and then report this abuse to this print-on-demand company to take it down.
