What are they going to do, swap it for an asian guy named Yasuke? With a character model that's also looks like a 6 foot tall 270 pound NFL player? Come on. February isn't even normally a "gaming drought" month. That's January since most publishers got their games out the door prior to the Christmas season so they could maximize sales, so that just makes no damned sense.

They also have an AC mobile game set in China that we know nothing about(other than it being a safe bet it won't feature a black person as the main character), but no date. A mobile version of The Division, which realistically no one is going to want as a fucking shooter on a phone since it isn't colorful slop bullshit like fortnite or apex. And anything else isn't even slated for 2025 because it's been stuck in development hell for years like the Prince of Persia remake that they had to start over on a couple years back, a teaser for the next AC bullshit "hexe" whatever that means, probably just wandering around Europe as a gypsy. Beyond Good and Evil 2, which has probably been in some state of development or another since 2008 when it was announced. That's certainly a hell of a lot better possibility than this grifter bullshit going around, that within the past few hours is just getting repeated with no actual source or logic behind it.

What fucking dev studio would have dedicated the resources to making a game surrounding a character, this supposed asian male character, spend massive amounts of money developing a new black character for the game including story and dialogue that would surround it because well... he sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the rest of the population(which also makes it retarded for an AC game) basically doubling their work, and then reverting everything back ignoring the development investment over the past year? Fuck no. 2 sets of animations, an entirely different model, having to re-do enemy animations to work with a different model, the audio, the writing for the character and the NPCs, the voice work and dialogue also needs to be repeatedly re-done for the various locationzations, any pre-rendered cut scenes, any printed material for physical copies, merch, promo posters, etc. would need to go in the trash.
