It's the same reason short men dislike being short, but for women it's an extra safety issue and anxiety multiples that.

Tall autists long for the days they were seen as endearing or cute and puberty sucked because everyone takes tall people seriously and treats them like an adult. They are not given the space to fuck up like they used to, they are seen as dangerous whether they want to be or not due to intimidating people with height, and males in general do not get the nicer politer treatment women do.
