I come back every month or so expecting to see news of Luna finally being at peace but instead she's still being shilled by Robin. How the heck is she still alive?
She's still alive because of the ~ western medicine ~ and ~ modern medicine ~ that Robyn claims to despise so much. Ironic, huh?
Whatever is going on with Atlas has multiple factors. The primary factor is whatever issue-- autism, cut tongue, apraxia, the possibilities are endless-- that's causing him not to have speech. Then there's the fact that his parents never interact with him appropriately, which means he's being raised by a TV and Bluey. They don't take him anywhere where he can interact with other children, so that also harms him. They don't read to him; we've seen him being read to exactly once that I remember, and it was his grandfather reading with him. And they also don't take him to seek real, qualified medical help. All they have to do for that last one is take him to a (real) pediatrician and ask for a referral-- that's literally it. The pediatrician's office would put the appropriate referrals in motion, even making sure they're staying in-network with insurance. The peds office isn't going to chloroform Robyn and vaccinate Atlas while she's unconscious (though they probably should), so there's no excuse here.
I know they can't drive around very easily where they live, but, seriously, many of us probably remember riding in the back seat while a parent asked us if we saw the cow, if we saw the water, if we know what sound a cow makes, on and on. It's so obvious that nothing analogous is happening in that house. A lot of parenting a toddler is making that type of conversation-- if you don't want to do that, then just don't have kids. It's fundamentally wrong to neglect their development like this.
I keep comparing Atlas to Ari Smith, who's only about a year and a half old. It's very obvious that someone-- almost certainly her grandparents-- is working with her to teach her all sorts of words. She knows the sounds that all of the animals that the parents in and around her grandparents' house make. She was recently seen with one of those "my first words" books, pointing and enthusiastically looking for the car (so she could say "car" over and over-- her favorite word, apparently). We've been told that "no" is her most-used word, which is completely age-appropriate, but we never even hear Atlas say NO over and over.
And it's not like there aren't opportunities! Atlas has always loved to mimic Glenn, and he likes cars and trucks. No one is even pointing out the different cars and trucks to him (a friend who did learn to speak very late said few words, and most of them were makes and models of cars-- which he vocally and correctly identified at every possible opportunity). He likes the building sites-- teach him words related to those. The lack of interest and attention from Robyn and Glenn kills me.

I don't particularly care if Robyn and Glenn want to destroy themselves with their stupid choices and stupid beliefs, but you're not allowed to take others down with you-- particularly if the others in question are your very young children. They've already completely destroyed one life. Luna deserved better, and so do Atlas and Oaken. Take the kid to the goddamn doctor.
In the stirring video, I think you hear Atlas vocalizing when he's actually stirring the mixture (you can hear him grunt when he realizes that stirring the mixture is harder than he expected, which is very cute). I think a lot of the other sounds are Oakley, though. There was another video posted here where she outright states or strongly implies that Luna is vocalizing, but it's actually Oaken. People commented on it at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if she's doing the same thing with Atlas and Oaken.
I think this situation frustrates me more than any other situation that I'm currently reading about on this website.
