I mean, "within ten days" is pretty good considering how much devastation there is. Mind you, this is literally someone driving out to a place in the mountains that may no longer exist and surveying it. This also has nothing to do with the immediate aid that is already being provided, like food and shelter.
Basically this is how it works, you say "my shit is fucked," and within 10 days, some dude goes up there and assesses just how fucked it is. Once it is determined, "yes, it is indeed fucked," you will be granted immediate relief money. Additionally, your case stays open, and you can use the initial assessment as a pre-qualification for more aid when it becomes available or you are ready for it, for instance, you are eligible for low-interest, forgivable, government backed loans. The alternative is that they give free money to anyone that claims they lost shit, which would infuriate retards ITT even more. Pick one, do you want immediate, free money, or do you want someone to verify that the person needs money first?
This is purely financial aid, and has literally, actually nothing to do with rescue, short term relocation, food, water, and clothing that is already being provided.

I'm skeptical this is actually happening on any scale. Where are the videos of people arguing with FEMA thugs or police acting under their orders? Where are the police reports and court cases of people being arrested for violating their ordere?
If this were really happening, this thread should be full of videos and links to court documents. Other threads exposed the scope of the Haitian problem in this country and their taste for pets and wild geese, so where's the videos of hillbillies trying to help their communities arguing with FEMA thugs or getting arrested? I'd be glad to change my mind on this topic since FEMA are a despicable agency wasting tax money on importing illegals and the Moviebobs in our government hates rural America, but got any sources beside that one NYPost article and Facebook/Xitter boomers?

Repeated word ITT is that there's an almost total communications blackout in Asheville specifically. A lot of the word is coming from people NEAR the area and nobody's being let in.

While I have no idea just how bad it is currently I can tell you most the lines for power and communication are most definately still out. Entire areas of towns have been washed away and so has the infrastructure supporting the area.
As a point of refrence this was from early on and chances are most of this is still out:
If there's an outage then there's an outage more than likely all the communications infrastructure is also out along with the power considering the scale and magnitude of the disaster. Celltowers cover wide areas and are placed to maximize coverage, however even then when you're in the mountains there's dead zones. When I hunt in the mountains or hike there's entire mountains that have 0 reception. Typically these celltowers should stay live during a disaster but considering the landslides and how entire highways are just gone I imagine a lot of the connections between it all is severed and may not be functioning. Relief efforts can set up temp bollards and shit to cover some of the area, but the geography and remnants of the disaster would make getting to ideal places a pain in the ass or impossible, and that's provided they are even wasting time doing that when they already have their own radios for communications. You won't get videos from people until they are out of deadzones provided they recorded anything. While I'm all for shooting down retarded notions like FEMA kill squads, most of the people still there are cut off from the world at large and will lack a means of transportation to get out without aid to even be able to upload shit.

Most of the actual downtown city of Asheville has power, even if the suburbs and surrounding areas do not. Again, I-40 is open, so if there's FEMA kill teams turning people around on I-40, we would have footage of it.
Additionally, there are literally Verizon assistance sites inside Asheville, with the express purpose of providing cell service and device charging. We would have footage of this.

Yes the majority of Americans will do nothing until social security runs out.
Then people currently in their 30s/40s who will be then in their 50s/60s will be protesting how they cant retire, how they don't have medical care, how they paid into all this shit for years and years and years through taxes that were promised to be there for them. And probably be gunned down in the streets by generation younger soldiers in their 20s who have no idea or attachment or care.
Assuming we last 30 years that is.
