Hydroplaning happens because of high speed or worn tires. I think he sped up like a faggot during on rain conditions.

Edit: He had 72 mph maximum. Which is 115 kph, a bit on the high side during the rain, but he is on the Highway. I think he could avoided it if he didn't sit on the phone.
