Occam's Razor suggests that EVS is late with his books because he's too busy livestreaming and doing other things rather than work on them.

Occam's Razor also suggests that Zack has a personal animus against Drinker rather than him being paid to go after him. It wouldn't be worth the money anyways since he would make more on his projects with the FNT crew potentially in his corner and not losing future money by alienating his fans.

I wondered that too. I don’t see much of a history of them interacting. The luke warm attacks seem more more retarded than going full out.

Maybe, unlike most American soldiers, he can see friendly fire and stop before everyone is dead?

Where I come from the older fellas are really touchy about a young man knowing anything at all beyond how to say "Yes sir" and "Thank you, sir". I still hear from my high school peers that their Boomer bosses fucked up their project by getting in the way of the progress because it was going too well.

And that's why YBZ and Ethan go so hard at the younger, more motivated versions of themselves. (I realize that's an insult to Eric and Drinker, sue me).

He started conflicts with everyone in CG that refused to worship him. He fought with nearly every YTer that is right or centrist. Doing what benefits him is second to doing what fuels his ego.

There are many reasons why he might do that. Envy, greed, misunderstanding, waifus etc etc. Or the fact that the Drinker is FNT member might be enough for EVS to fight him and Zack might be in enough of a financial tough spot to agree.

YBZ and EVS are lazy bastards who thought they could coast into retirement earning money with minimal effort. That's why they're so pissed. Not necessarily because they're old, it's because they're old and lazy. They thought they had a lock on a community of fans and customers, but they got left in the dust, because they gave up and stopped trying years ago.

A lot of it also has to do with ego. A relatively level-headed and humble person will realize that as they age, younger talented people will greater energy and ambition will arise. Everybody has their time in the sun. That's the natural order of things. Guys like EVS and YBZ have massive egos, and think they should be the center of attention forever, even after they're long past the point of contributing much of anything.
