That's the part that is wild to me SpaceX is one of the two prime contractors for the NASA return to the moon by providing the lander vehicle, the only operational US based system to launch crewed missions to space and has major DOD and NRO launch contracts. They have all the contracts they need the only part that is missing is their problems with the FAA which if he hitches to Trump will get either eliminated or fast tracked but that's it all he is doing is making it somewhat harder to recruit high skilled employees by cozying up towards Trump.
