Here's my impression of why Joker 2 is the movie it is. Much like with Dirty Harry, which was proclaimed a fascist movie when it came out, Joker was proclaimed a fascist movie when it came out. What this probably meant was that Todd Philips was getting cold treatment at Hollywood cocktail parties, or not even getting invited to them at all. While Joker memes are still relatively popular, all the hysteria around the movie pretty much died out when the promised incel uprising never happened. However, I'm sure being called a fascist director preyed on Philips mind, hence we got this garbage.

I doubt it will much impact the Joker memes since nobody is going to see it.

I don't really want to give Zack's video about it views, but him thinking this is an "art" movie about "consequences" seems par for the course for that moron, It's a DC Elseworlds movie Zack, not Taxi Driver. It's supposed to be entertainment and make money for Warner Brothers. Instead it's going to lose them money because Todd Philips had to deal with morons going into hysterics over the first one a few years ago.

Take it from all of us who have seen the movie, Joker 2 was Todd Philips's personification of a child throwing a tantrum because the wrong crowd liked a movie he made. He broke his toys so no one could enjoy it. Take in all the context clues, his hate for comic book movies, and the movie itself being the antithesis of the first.

Like I said, I knew his take on this movie the minute FNT/CD Chris Gore, Movie Cynic, MauLer and half the population of the world said they didn't like the movie.

Some people have speculated that Philips and Phoenix only did the movie because they were finally offered enough money.

The funny thing is that WB only ponied up half the money for Philip's original Joker, which was very cheap to make and which made a ton of money. So, the studio only reaped half of those original profits, which people have put around $200 mil. And now WB spent (at least) $200 mil to produce the much more expensive Joker 2. It will most likely bomb, which will wipe out all of those profits the studio made from the original. Smart move, WB.

This is not a review, it's "a first impression."

The BPC have "fake reviews." Just don't listen to them.

Joker 2 is "brave", "brilliant," "very challenging."

Joker is perfect as is. But Joker 2 expands upon it. But actually Joker was just Taxi Driver and King of Comedy for normies. But it was very, very good. [Make sense of that if you can.]

Zack likes this movie because it made him squirmy.

The YouTube circle of fake reviewers all say the same thing. [Even though Zack just compared Joker to Taxi Driver and King of Comedy for normies, which is what everybody else has repeated. I guess that also makes Zack a fake reviewer, too.]

Art is supposed to be just not regurgitating what you want to hear, but creating something original. [So, I guess Zack is the kind of retard who appreciates bullshit modern art, because it's "original."]

It was a good movie-going experience.

Zack repeats a whole bunch of obvious statements about the movie which are just observations of how characters acted as if what he's saying is something profound.

Remember when Zack called Joker a perfect movie like E.T. earlier in his review? Later on he calls the Joker "baby's first Scorsese movie."

Joker 2 is not a fuck you to the audience, because it's "nuanced" and "complicated." [No attempt is made to explain how this movie is "nuanced" or "complicated."]

A breadtuber said that the BPCs only talk about plot. Once Zack heard that, he noticed that that's all the BPCs ever do. They only focus on plot holes instead of "the meta story." [Once again proving that Zack does not in fact listen to the BPCs discussion of films, which goes way beyond the simple plot.]

Time for more nonsense rambling. This movie made Zack think about art. The movie could have been about the Joker teaming up with Penguin, going on a crime spree, etc. And that could have been good. But "they really went there." This is where this thought tangent ends.

This was a good piece of art. The film makers wanted to give the audience something more complex and nuanced than a dumbed down version of Taxi Driver. [Again, how is Joker perfect if you think it's just a dumbed down version of Taxi Driver? Again there is no explanation of how this movie is "nuanced" and "complex."]

This movie felt like it had a confident and sure hand, but Zack hasn't figured it out.

This movie was not about 'splosions. It's "really trying," and Zack finds that very admirable.

Weird that it took Todd Philips to make a movie with an anti-establishment anti-hero only for him to find out that both he and the people he craves the love of are in fact the establishment.

I would say Todd’s pulled a Zack be releasing a career destroying film which hates its own audience it at least Todd knows this will put him back in the good graces of the elite.

It sounds like he’s killed what could have been an amazingly profitable franchise for people who hate him to pretend to like him when they see him at restaurants though.

Thanks for that. Well, that's pretty much what I expected. Yeah, Todd Philips wasn't given a larger budget and a comic book IP in order to create a movie that only appeals to delicate geniuses like Ya Boi Zack and will likely disappear into obscurity like a lot of other bad sequels. It doesn't even sound entertainingly bad.

We've had a glut of movies that can best be described as anti-entertainment for years now, and it seems like a lot of them have been super hero movies or adjacent genres. This has caused a lot of capital destruction in the big studios. Well, this is what Zack likes to celebrate, I suppose.

Also, we already have Taxi Driver and King of Comedy, movies that were created to entertain people, not make them miserable. Zack probably doesn't understand this, because his brain doesn't work very well.
