Legit 95% of the beta forums discussion told them outright the loot level shit sucked ass and the monetization was beyond predatory, they could have delayed and launched in a state more like it is now, they fucking knew that shit would fly as well as a lead balloon and launched anyway. It's a sidegrade from Wildlands at best anyway although I did eventually enjoy turning off levels and how I could tailor difficulty exactly as I wanted. But all the good came after the course correcting patch and there's still a ton of bullshit left in the game despite it being much better.
It's still hard to actually recommend, mostly because of the always online shit and BattlEye being fucking cancer.
 
So if everything lines up, Ubisoft way overspent on Skull and Bones, a project that had been in development since 2014 after AC: Black Flag ( a game originally intended for the XBox 360 and PS3!). They end up spending close a billion only to see it fail miserably. But alright... that failed, we still have a Star Wars game and Assassin's Creed to rally around! Star Wars is the most popular IP in history! Obviously this will work since Star Wars fans are drooling retards who will buy anything with the logo, right?

Oh shit... that failed too... well we still have Assassin's Creed! And it will be set in Japan as well, something we've been teasing since the original Assassin's Creed back in 2007. Obviously this is going to work out even if we source our history from some American professor living in Japan (an English professor, mind you, not a historian) and decide to insert his fanfic in our game.

Outlaws and Shadows were supposed to be the thing that were surefire hits, but now they're looking to sink the company. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch than these Parisian faggots. I'd say that I hope the Chinese rip your nuts off but that seemed to have happened a long time ago.

It's worth noting that Tencent (through their brand of Level Infinite) is the publisher of Nikke, which is pretty much a "jiggle physics simulator" that prints money. Turns out the chinks like money.

It's really funny because the ONLY thing that could save them would be the removal of Yasuke and the promotion of a male Asian lead and they know it but can't take the plunge on that because they would get crucified in the West for negro erasure.

Even though Tencent is the publisher of Nikke the game is not available on CN app stores. Still that doesn't stop the commies from playing the game through the use of a VPN. Who knows if they will ever receive a censored version for the CN market.

Even then, not really. I remember when EA was voted the worst company in the world in 2012 after ME3 and now, more than 10 years later, Ubislop has gone above and beyond anything EA has done. Not only are their games repetitive, soulless products but you don't even get the right to own those products when you purchase them. Even when I play my games on Steam I am forced to use an Ubislop account. Even if they get rid of the darkie, it's still going to be sandbox #9341, only with more bugs than a Bethesda game and ten times the handholding.

Just in case people think that Chinese game=boobies by default, I would like to point out that the recent Dead Rising demake has been outsourced to the Chinese. Guess what is one of the things missing from that game compared to the original?
China is still globohomo, just a more bug flavored one. It's a match made in heaven for Ubisoft, and I hope they get bought out as quickly as possible. Couldn't happen to a nicer company!

They also made a Chinese psychopath white and removed a Vietnam vet's reference to communism, so that leads me to believe they were doing this on their own behalf, not as much on Capcom's. All they did was greenlight the changes. Things aren't going to get better under Chinese, you will see the same censorship in the same places. People who want to welcome their slant eyed overlords in the gaming market are just as cringy as right wingers who think they and Russia are "based" for whatever reason.
All of this not to mention that Chinks don't really have much experience in the gaming landscape, not unless it's some shitty GAAS online casino anyways. They won't drop all their chips just to take risks with single player games all of a sudden, so that's the shift your company will be making if Tencent buys out it's shares.
Not like that would impact Ubisoft much, since that's what most of their games are nowdays, that or open world slop nobody wants.
