Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
For sure, it ran like shit and didn't sell crazily well, but still a couple orders of magnitude better than fucking star wars outlaws.
Yeah that's what I meant, the game was a technical mess even after patches and it still performed well enough so Outlaws has no excuse for flopping except being a shit game nobody wanted.

Both games also had a problem with woke shit --if you thought the girlboss stuff was bad in Fallen Order it's much worse in Survivor-- so they can't even hide behind people hating...whatever the woman in Outlaws was called.
do we have any cold, scientific data or is it just all guesswork? :(((((((((((
From a March 2025 article I found:
Far Cry 7, known under the codename ‘Blackbird’ within Ubisoft, could be launching in 2026, according to a leak reported by Insider Gaming.

The news comes as details emerged that both this project, and a standalone extraction shooter set in the Far Cry world, are being looked at carefully within Ubisoft.

The extraction shooter, codenamed ‘Maverick’ was once the multiplayer component of Far Cry 7, is being completely rebooted, and part of the team has been shifted over to Far Cry 7 instead.

It’s unclear why this decision has been made, however, Ubisoft is finding itself under financial stresses, so streamlining future projects would make some sense.

According to the Insider leak, Far Cry 7 is currently in the playtesting phase, and developers are confident the game could be released next year.

Ubisoft are yet to comment on the upcoming game, but details point to it being set in Alaska - a stark departure from recent releases - and featuring a fight for survival against harsh weather, wild animals, soldiers, and other players.
Sounds like they're considering the Call of Duty approach of making a separate multiplayer game but it's going to be an extraction shooter instead of battle royale, which seems to be the current industry obsession.

Splitting it away from the campaign is probably smart, especially if they make it F2P, since I don't think anyone is chomping at the bit after Far Cry 6 was a complete non-starter.
