Like I mentioned earlier, there was a thread asking if rule34 of underage-looking characters should be legally criminalized, and a measly 31% of those who answered said yes.

That simulated child pornography is so normalized that anyone who criticizes it gets dogpiled, even on 4chan as @WelperHelper99 mentioned earlier, is horrifying. That large swaths of people on this very site think that crap should be legal is unspeakable.

It really does make ya think, how society has gotten to this point. What kind of social engineering occurred in order to get people to tolerate this shit, even grudgingly. How low we've sunk that merely saying, "Loli is bad and shouldn't be allowed," will get a bunch of angry spergs to gang up on you.

This is a trend I noticed too. When I got dogpilled on Blue Archive, then suddenly the users were okay on Gravure (even if gravure photography used underaged models). This is ESPECIALLY prevalent on the Games board, likely because most got consumed by the culture war brainrot, or are also frequent 4chan posters.

The social engineering is the thought no rules= good. People don't want their internet messed with, even though year by year it already gets regulated more and more. It fosters a mental resistance to ANY form of change, including good change. That includes banning lolicon.

That and I'd argue it's board culture. Lolicons have made their arguments on message boards for decades at this point. People get influenced wether they know it or not if they use message boards by these arguments. There's never been any real counter arguments because it's always shut down by the lolicons. It's why I see this thread as incredibly important. It's the first real argument in public against them that's coherent.

The vtuber thread has its own host of "under the hood" problems, but the lolicon lovers may not particularly be the biggest ones. What you get there is more of a case where a lot of users gunt guard for their favorites and are usually the ones reposting what they see on the Farms on 4chan, reddit, or their little Discord groups to seethe and witchhunt the community over.
