Your favorite nootropic? - What chems you shooting into your brain this week! ( no source talk )

I like noopept as well. I don't actually notice it making any difference as far as alertness or any other cognitive improvements from the noopept itself but I do tend to sleep well that night if I take it in the morning which obviously helps the next day. I am extremely bad at sleeping so that's a very welcome benefit

if you have direct effects from it I'm curious as to what they are, as far as if it makes you feel anything or if you can just tell you're more alert or focused or anything. I heard about it from my mom's boyfriend who likes it a lot but he couldn't quite explain what he liked about it, just he feels 'sharper' which doesn't tell me much lol
What he most likely means by it, is that he isn't wired up like amphetamines do to you, where you are twot hy and overtly sensitive to stimuli, but you have access to more ability to habdle things from a mental standpoint and have less negative attributes like mental fog or lack of short term memory. Yes, you can have that feeling without being wored up and spun outm it's a delicte balamce. It very yuseful to just go about your day.

Tl Dr, you don't necessarily have to be more energetic to be more capable.

"Nootropic" these days really seems like nothing but a new age Reddit-ish euphemism for narcotic. Some people even label shit like phenibut as a nootropic, and as far as I know it basically just converts to GHB in your system. Which is a club drug.

I guess getting high will make you a little more energized and invested, but what exactly is the difference between taking a "nootropic" and just railing some meth? That energizes most people too.

"My favorite nootropic is oxycontin".

"Narcotic" implies that it intoxicates/inebriates you. Cannabis, alcohol, opiates, etc. will impair your judgement. A "nootropic" on the other hand will improve your cognitive function (at least in theory).

The idea is that people function on drugs like caffeine or adderall better than when they're not. I know this is a really cringey gamer example to use, but Mentats in the Fallout franchise would be an example of a nootropic, Med-X would be a narcotic.

If you can't drive while you're on it, it's a narcotic. If your driving is the same or slightly better, it's a nootropic.

So, you know me, and I'm disabled. But obviously by now, whatever I'm using for my schizophrenia is extremely successful.

I play an intensive nutrition game (also I eat enormously, because few things are so good for scramble as a full belly).

But my Magical Mystery Pill is HISTIDINE. It's formally used for very few things; it's sometimes recommended for "eczema" (eczema results from asymmetries of brain-and-body energy) but everyone who takes it for eczema says WOW! I love it and I will take it forever, because it symmetrizes the brain-and-body energy.

Really there is probably some 1% of the world who is vaguely sick who could take histidine and just say WOW! and become weller and weller.

Every morning I crush a couple of Flintstones multivitamins and snort them up my nose (I am quite hardcore myself)
I'm on 4 Wilma's, get on my level scrub

Nootropic is specifically help with cognitive, mostly in focusing. You can go down the rabbit hole where you get people posting their stack of 15 different pills taken through the course of the day because they are suppose to interact and amplify each other. Does it work? Dunno, I'm not spending 300$ monthly in pills to find out. Gold standard seems to be using adderall and finding approx to adderall.

edit: Other standard is eating clean, avoiding sugar and getting a proper rest but who has time and energy for that these days?

Have you tried n.a.c? Helps a lot with schizophrenic symptoms and o.c.d .

Not trying to be a dick here, but have you tried actual antipsychotics like Quetiapine?

Yes, I have, it is a nice and forgettable detox. But I spend my time addressing different problems from the schizophrenic you have in mind.

Histidine gives me the energy appropriate to an extremist.
What do you mean nice forgettable detox? God speed otherwise you nuclear powderkeg bastard!

Going to buy some higher dose-age NAC, anyone got any brand recommendations? I usually go for NOW supplements but i want 1200mg not just 1000mg that they offer.

I take it as needed nowadays. I do 100mg at a time with some water or some kind of drink. It's worse than road salt and soy sauce.
Took it about an hour and 45 minutes ago, feel pretty good. I didn't expect a hard stimulant like coke or meth obviously so I'm not dissapointed; found out my scale doesn't measure MG, only entire grams, no decimal so I just tapped out a tiny amount on a spoon (somewhere around 100-250g) and slammed it; fucking tastes terrible, just as you said.

Had a decent workout, I didn't push myself too hard so I'm not too sure about the endurance effects of phenylpiracetam but I do feel strangely lucid/focused with this odd feeling in the eyes, so thats really nice. Think I'll take another dose before I head to work and see if I can finish the instruction portion of my certificate tonight.

I heard that you're supposed to take it with a cofactor(?) like Alpha GDC/GPC Choline so I found this pill that has:

N-tyrosine 200mg
Alpha GPC 150mg
PhosphatidylSerine 150mg
L-theanine 100mg
Noopept 20mg

so I have those in my system as well.

You actually bought it, My nigga, It is ideal to take after a small meal and with a shot of...anything. Do it with some water and make sure you don't swallow it plain it will be delivered even better. You wont be physically more robust as its all mental but if you cant focus on a workout it will get you over that hump. My order came with a pipette so i measure it that way. You doing 200mg is actually fine, its just that people did only 100mg on average as, idk thats what they did. You can find plenty of people doing more than that and it's totally safe.

I want to highlight the part of you trying to be mentally productive. This is really where it will shine. You wont have some sort of super genius effect but you will notice you have suddenly what feels like 3 times the brain power to dedicate to things. Not only does any sort of anti-anxiety effect help with workload, you can just instantly access all information you ever learned so smoothly and sharply. Please take whatever dose you feel again and do something mentally demanding and see where you are at compared to what you used to be off of the stuff.

What you are thinking of is CDP-Choline and that is apart of my stack also, ( 1200mg iirc and was on it for months before Piracetam ) and what that will do in essence is allow your brain to process more of the proteins in your body to break down for processing tasks. Also be of note that this stuff will potentiate caffeine making it much more effective. Their is not a number that I can source about how effective it is but it def works alot more efficiently.

You fucking madman, you actually did it! I love you man!

Any of those nootropics that don't need prescriptions? No, nicotine doesn't count, unless it's in pouch mode - And even then I am afraid of adverse effects. I want something that helps me alongside the Ritalin I already take.

Piracetam used to be OTC here in Brazil, but then they changed it to be prescription-only for some damn reason. The only time I took it was wonderful and helped me in my final year of college.
