Wendigoon Thread

I need to know who is editing the sound for the new video. Especially since it is Isaiah talking. The fire should be set between -18 and -24 and Isaiah has quiet, inconsistent, and unclear audio. It is difficult to listen to. You shouldn't be able to tell there are different takes of these readings. There was a cut of him almost laughing but he was reading too fast.

I don't mind the audio only, but he needs to have it edited better or cut the sound effects and just speak clearly. It is hard to listen to.

Edit: he needs to check his videos because the fire is backwards.

I tried to give it a watch but it's offensively boring. You might as well have him read 2 hours of different Sonic odDoNutSteel bios and it would probably be less repetitive and creepier.
He's no Dime Store Adventures.

Yeah, I think these could have been a lot shorter, or better-curated. Go into depth on one critter and then mention the five or so that are related to it in one final sentence. And the benefit of a Discord full of weirdo fans is that he could have asked for art of 50 Paul Bunyan cryptids and gotten 50 eager artists' renditions.

Think it was the fake fire that put the nail in the coffin? I get that Wendi likes the Fearsome Critters, and they're an interesting subject, but his enthusiasm really didn't come across.

The cereal ad was cute, though.

I never got the appeal of American Cryptids. At least folk creatures tie back to the land, culture and beliefs so it's pretty interesting. With cryptids it's basically some mashup of "wouldn't it be cool if X happened?".

It's like that trite joke: an American thinks 100 years is old, a European thinks 100 miles is far.

These are tall tale monsters from the 1800s, but nothing anyone ever saw (or claimed to see). I thought they were all related to Paul Bunyan, but I guess not, or I guess Paul Bunyan was technically one of them. They're folk creatures as far as they were told by mostly-white trappers and lumberjacks and adventurers and the specific person who came up with each isn't known, but the timeline is much shorter. Not quite the same as something that popped up in the 1950s, or with SCP, but I can't define how.

I guess it's like if you can accept Woody Guthrie as a folk singer when he wrote his own songs.

Regardless, the video was dull. Wendi's no Steven Kellogg.

It wouldn't be bad if it wasn't lazy. They are rookie mistakes that make it bad and feel rushed. Even the explanations were short. If Isaiah was going to read, that's what he should have done. If there was going to add explication, it shouldn't have had half thoughts.

The idea was fine but the execution was lackluster. Tap on a clip to paste it in the text box. This wasn't his one bad video, this was a lazy video. Almost every single thing in the video was poorly done.

Might be retarded but feels like between all the projects he's now involved in his main channel seems to be the lowest priority.
Can't blame him too much though, creepcast seems to be making bank out of the ass with the amount of sponsors and ads they have nowadays.

Speaking of, idk if this is a "fuck youtube" or "fuck these guys" moment, but I always put it on in the background whenever I'm cleaning the house, on the living room console and I swear to God, I got 40 odd seconds of *unskippable* ads (seems to be a thing only on consoles and such) every 5 minutes during the tales from the gas station episode.

Latest Creepcast is up.

Came in expecting something weird, but was pleasantly surprised it did not go there. Same for the sequel: I worried it wasn't gonna live up to the original or otherwise make it seem like the wife was the crazy one or something, but the idea that something came to them and messed with their minds was really interesting. No idea what they're thinking of assuming it's a fight club thing. It blatantly states that it's some creature.

Would have been really funny if they turned out to be gypsies lol
