I'm glad my BF's friend bought the tickets to this movie, but it is 2 hours I could have been doing something better. It was boring on top of the musical parts were rather insufferable. The music scenes in musicals are supposed to further the plot. Maybe with the acception to the burning down of the asylum, no other musical portion of Joker 2 moved the plot forward. All it did was further my hate for musicals in general. Nothing about it was enjoyable. If you want to get meta about the message on how riots will be smashed by the state, and the workers rights uprising failed in the end, lmao. It's just Todd making sure he won't be hired for future comic book movie projects. I think I was more entertained by the Borderlands movie, which isn't saying much.

Some people have speculated that Philips and Phoenix only did the movie because they were finally offered enough money.

All the more reason as to why they should have made it good.

The funny thing is that WB only ponied up half the money for Philip's original Joker, which was very cheap to make and which made a ton of money. So, the studio only reaped half of those original profits, which people have put around $200 mil. And now WB spent (at least) $200 mil to produce the much more expensive Joker 2. It will most likely bomb, which will wipe out all of those profits the studio made from the original. Smart move, WB.

Honestly, I think Philips will go the way of Ryan Johnson. Only given money by those who agree with him and being allowed to work on original ideas with little else but bigger companies will be hesitant to attach his name on their projects.

I would say Todd’s pulled a Zack be releasing a career destroying film which hates its own audience it at least Todd knows this will put him back in the good graces of the elite.

One cannot fully return to the good graces of the woke. He is forever tainted in the eyes of most of them and the rest are not going to stick up for him out of fear of being canceled.

I wouldn't mind if Zack had stuck to saying he liked the movie. (Like you said, we all know he has terrible taste.) Whether or not you like something is subjective. But, of course, Zack has to turn his impression review into a polemic against the BPCs in his eternal war to prove that he is the True Artisté and they are frauds who give "fake reviews" with no merit.

From all of the reviews of Joker 2 I've heard, it's a depressing deconstruction film with no entertainment value. (And basically a fuck you to the audience who liked the first one.) Midwits and half-wits think that wallowing in misery and deconstructing a character automatically makes a movie deep and artistic when some of these movies are simply pointless and pretentious.

It will be interesting to see if Zack creates a review proper and explains the "nuances" and "complexity" he is so convinced were in this film.

The filmography was good at least, but no better than it was in the first, and the actors were good at their rolls. I guess the people who just got up, left the theater in the middle of the movie and never came back, the few I over heard jeering after the credits, and my party of four just didn't get the complexity and intricacies of such a ocean deep film.

I read Zack's statement as mocking The Drinker, accusing him of "bad guy behavior," and calling him a pussy for going after this Ubisoft director.

No matter how you read it, even if you take his statement in isolation, the fact that Zack thinks he can mock people for revenge motives when his whole YouTube channel has become nothing but a forum for his own petty vendettas born out of envy and jealousy is quite hypocritical.
