UN Fire ravages historic Notre Dame des Sept Allégresses Church in Trois-Rivières, Canada - The fire only adds to what has become a Canadian scourge as at least 110 churches have now been damaged or destroyed by fires and vandalism since 2021.

The church fires in Canada continued Thursday as the historic Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Allégresses Catholic church in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, went up in flames, and the local fire chief “refused to speculate on the causes or origin of the blaze.” There were no injuries reported as the church was empty when the fire began.

The Journal de Quebec noted that several people who witnessed the fire said they saw a flaming container near the church. The building, built in 1914, sustained considerable damage, including the complete loss of a bell tower, True North reported.

A devastating fire has ravaged the historic Notre Dame des Sept Allégresses Church in Trois-Rivières, Canada.

According to the city of Trois-Rivières’s Facebook, firefighters reacted to the fire quickly, arriving on the scene at 3:40 pm and being able to keep the blaze from spreading.

Residential developer Georges Mouradian had bought the church as a “revitalization project” where he envisioned building new homes. He said the first stage of the construction was to be completed on Friday, the day after the fire broke out. As a precautionary measure, local police evacuated all businesses near the church as well as 11 Franciscan monks who live close to the church. They were unharmed by the fire.

The fire only adds to what has become a Canadian scourge as at least 110 churches have now been damaged or destroyed by fires and vandalism since 2021, according to True North. Some link the beginning of the church fires to the discovery of what was claimed to be unmarked graves at a site where an Indian residential school once stood in Kamloops, BC.

Whether there is a connection or not, arsonists have launched a virtual campaign against Canadian churches for the past three years. During the peak of the arsons, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s former chief of staff, Gerald Butts, suggested these crimes “may be understandable.” Just before Christmas 2023, four churches were burned to the ground in what the Conservative Party of Canada leader called a paroxysm of “anti-Christian hatred.”

Justin Trudeau infamously said in July of 2021 that he found it “fully understandable” that some might attack Christian churches with fire, given Canada’s “shameful history."

We all know that those fires are man-made, now, who the arsonists are, and why exactly do they want to accomplish by burning the churches? Your guess is as good as mine, it ranges from crazy troons, to muslim/pajeet immigrant, to faggot liberal and everything in between

This is not targeted harassment and if you even imply as such, it could count as a (thought) crime in Canada.
Even yuros aren't this cucked, at least their churches(for the most part) are still fine, it's just that you could be stabbed or beheaded in one.

This sounds more like insurance fraud than the usual church attack.

Only a passing mention of the residential school scandal? They faked mass graves and sparked arson attacks across the country, and have issued exactly 0 apologies or retractions for it.
Because it's all part of the plan.
A bit late for the annual statutory White Man Bad holiday.
Maybe it's to preempt Canada's Thanksgiving, which is next week.

I am very inclined to believe that the fire at the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris was arson. President Macron issued a statement that it wasn't whilst the cathedral was still burning and fireman nor anyone else had even been able to access all areas. In short, he had zero basis to declare it wasn't arson but he did so anyway. And then there were photos of an unidentified person on the scaffolding outside and other weird issues. And that France had been seeing a wave of church burnings leading up to it.

I see no reason that this could not have also been arson.

My guess it's going to be some native, like most of the other church arsons; then the media will bury the story.

Actually reminds me of another canadian fire very similar to this I read about earlier this year.

Edit: And it's pretty much confirmed to have been arson too.

Developers bought it for dirt cheap under its actual value, got money from the city, probably insurance. And now with the historic building they couldn't destroy gone they get to do whatever they want with the property it seems... Hmmmmmmm... Would bet on this being the same scheme.

Castreau saw what Xinnie the Pooh was doing to churches in China, and wanted to do the same to Chinadian churches, in a less subtle manner.

I hadn't heard this one. I honestly can't put into words how absolutely bizarre I find this statement. I want to find it repulsive but it's so outlandish my mind can't get around it.

It's a shame about the church. It's a lovely looking building and it's more than a century old.

Huh, that's funny. I had the exact same thought at the time when listening to his statement. I'd never thought on it much past that, but I hadn't realised there'd been church burnings leading up to it either. Food for thought.
