I don't dare predict what's going to happen in November, but in the event of a Trump win; don't you think it would have been massively advantageous (in the long run) for Dems if they didn't "win" in 2020?

Trump would have had the post-COVID economy to clean up, and while he may (or may not) have been better than Biden, a slower economy would still have reflected poorly. After 8 years of repetitive MAGA chants, manufactured controversies from the press, and stonewalls from Dems, how much would he have accomplished?
Any wars started in the last 4 years either don't happen (which doesn't help Trump because you don't know he prevented it), or it happens anyway which further reflects poorly.
The court cases against him are either never brought, or if they do they have a different effect (instead of actually helping him in the current timeline).
The "redrawing of the lines" that happened over the last few years with Twitter, Facebook, RFK Jr., and others, either wouldn't have been as pronounced, or never happened at all.
MAGA would have been wrung dry and Trump would be "dead" (term limit).

On the other end, Dems would have had 4 years to clean house and find new talent. Biden and Kamala are never seen again. It would have been fresh face Dems vs a tired Mike Pence (lol). More importantly the Dems abortion scare mongering would have had teeth, as Roe v. Wade would have been abolished under a Republican admin (and not under an incompetent Dem admin). They would have complete reign to implement their agenda as the Reps would have expended all their political capital.

And now 2024+ is shaping up to be more important than the previous 4 years, so THIS is the year to win, not 2020.

I mostly agree except for these parts. The tricky thing about Young Dem talent is that they're all like AOC and the Squad. Promotion of them turns the Dems into the anti-Semite party faster than they are now. They can't get moderate DEI types because DEI doesn't promote moderate people. The most moderation the Dems can squeeze out of its people is ones that want to go back to 2009 and the difference between then and now is a matter of degree.

And 2020 was the year to win as preventing the Russo-Ukrainian War would have also prevented the Russians getting kicked out of SWIFT and preserving the Petrodollar with the Saudis, meaning that the US economy would be able to abuse the money printer for longer. Germany would still have Russian gas so they still have heavy industry. The world economy would, at worst, be around Great Recession era where things were bad, but could be recovered from. Instead of today where we're probably headed for the Second Great Depression and I don't believe anyone can stop it.

I agree, so here's some supporting points of my own:
-Ukraine started because the shark called Putin smelled blood in the water with the disastrous Afghanistan pullout, which wouldn't have happened under Trump.
-Iran, on the other hand, was able to start flexing their monetary muscles because their sanctions ended under Biden.
-The Ukraine War was a significant reason why COVID basically stopped existing past 2021, so without that happening I'd imagine that they would've kept it around to hinder Trump.
-Thomas and Alito, two people who are very likely to be looking at retirement during the next Republican President, would probably have held off on retiring in a 2020 Trump term. Trump wouldn't have gotten any Supreme Court appointments from 2021-2024 (Breyer only retired to avoid a repeat of Ginsburg's dumbass mistake), and there is a possibility that a Democrat would've been able to replace one or both of them if they die.
-Democrats would still have had issues with finding a candidate after this hypothetical Trump term. The DNC is super rigged against fresh-faced outsiders ever since Obama kicked the ladder after he got his. Their best candidate that they would actually run (aka no Bernie, Tulsi, or Yang) would probably be someone like Newsom (who has serious baggage even in fucking California), or Shapiro.

That point about the Supreme Court is probably the biggest, though. Trump may very well appoint half of the court over two terms, and it's already easily the most valuable institution currently held by Republicans.

Dubya ranks really damn low in my list of Presidents, but the man made some great SC Appointments.
Meanwhile, Reagan, who I already don't view fondly, appointed fucking O'Connor and Kennedy. Those two appointments ended up being deciding votes in favor of Abortion (Planned Parenthood v Casey), Gay Marriage (Obergefell v Hodges), Affirmative Action (Grutter v Bollinger), and probably some other retarded libshit I'm forgetting.
