I completely agree. I get emotionally why a lot of his former friends have adopted a "We want Nick to get better, avoid prison and get his kids back." mentality, they were friends with him. But on a rational level I can not see how someone could support that, Nick neglected his kids until they were dirty and hungry, this led to one of his kids being exposed to high quantities of cocaine and then Nick let his kids be traumatized for his own ego.
In this post he pretty much admits to it, instead of denying, just downplaying it as a "rough summer", it seems very likely he'll reoffend, if he hasn't already. His kids would be at risk if placed back in his care.
